Your fix is great, Terry, the bars definitely needed extra support and I like the fact that they are connected to the seat post too. My problem was not being able to tighten the moving part of the bars enough so they wouldn't move with little push/pull on it so what I did fix it..Maybe I misunderstood a bit;-)...
@tomfrajer Hey Tom, your fix sounds excellent--if it's what I am envisioning--and I always thought that the two brackets as well as the the tube sleeve thingy that the two bolts go through, should have had little interlocking grooves, or at least a rougher texture to ensure it would not move once tightened. The ball bearings in the groove sounds like a good fix also! How did you make the groove, and do you think carving out the grooves could somehow weaken the brackets?
The pivot screw are way too long, I grind them down so when I I tighten them the bars did not move..On the top of that I inserted 2 bearing balls in the grove, one above and one bellow the pivot screw, or depending what angle I want; so there is no movement at all.. I like Terry's idea too, although I did not have extra fender laying around.;-)...
@tomfrajer Not exactly sure what you did there. Maybe send message with link to pics? I wasn't too concerned with "movement" and the handle would tighten well enough not to move. It was the *down* force stress from the extra length and weight from the aerobars, and having only the one single support point, that being the under-saddle bracket. So my idea just added that all important second support point, which made all the difference. I showed it to Kris Holm and he enthusiastically approved! :)
can you rest properly on the handlebars. is it comfortable and like riding normally even though all your weight is shifted

@GuitarGunner00 It's exactly what the title says. Morty makes appearances at the end of many of my videos.
