would this be a bad snake for a beginner? i keep lizards but never had a snake. been researching a lot and i either want a blood or a ball. prefer a blood i've just heard they can be aggressive and hard to deal with. what ya think?
@rjp9871 for a first snake i would probably have to say get a ball python or a corn snake but its up to u . my first snake was a coastal carpet python

@Varanus23 *Cruelty. If you're going to hate, atleast spell correctly. It's not cruelty. I know what Im doing. These cages we're temporary as I had about 1 week to find room for 15 adult bloods, all are in 2 by 3 foot cages now.
@rephibiankid Adult bloods need a cage with a 3 by 2 foot floor space. And mine dont have attitude. But i have seen crapy improted animals that will not hessitate to bite. So buy quality captive bred.
@HiImSteveDuh Oh, so where do you get bigger tubs that fit in a rack? Like what size? 41qt. is about the biggest floor space I can find, any bigger, and they just start making them taller, not wider or longer... :/
@TOOL11212 He's having to move and he can't take the snakes with him for maybe a year or so. He was going to have to sell everything, but I told him I would hold his collection for him so he wouldnt have to just sell everything and start over.
Love the Bloods- Love the your Videos -Keep them coming -Haters...Not worth of your time-No matter what we do in life, there will be always one Ass Loser ready to Hate!
After having dealt with my blood who is a complete jerk, its so weird to see all these that couldn't honestly care less that you are interacting with them. Part of me wishes mine was that chill, but i think another part of me likes snakes that are jerks lol
@cavajason Oh belive me, that matrix het albino female has quite the attitude. And you better belive she hits HARD. Scary hard. But i also enjoy snakes that make life more interesting.
Hey steve i have a question for you. So im looking into getting my second carpet python and i found a female ivory x supernova jaguar. She's at a great price, but the main issue is size. She is a '10 hatchling and if i do not powerfeed would i be able to keep her at say 7 feet. I know coastals are the largest subspecies but i also know jungles stay pretty '"small." Thanks in advance for the advice!
Hey Steve i was wondering if you could make a Visual video of all the "terms" used for some of us beginner breeders> Example This is A "Het" such and such
This is a "recessive" such and such. would be great or if u know a good website for us to look up! Thanks!
@snakeboy96 No, the largest female is about 6 foot and only 25 lbs. Thats whats so great about bloods. They look like a big snake. But theyre like a big snake, and a tiny snake body.

I know were talking about bloods and the hole reptile-scene over there is different compared to the our own here in germany especially related on cage-sizes but these tubs are like terrible small in my opinion
@kksnakes Normally I would agree with you. But knowing the biology of these animals, in the wild, they find a palm frond to sit under, and they wont move, or even go to the bathroom for months. They do the same thing in captivity. They find a piece of newspaper to hide under, and they wont move unless you make them move. It dosnt matter how big their cages is. Also keep in mind, these are temporary living conditions.
sure they know how to relax =D...but even if they dont move that much i would prever the way of enclosures that give them the opportunity to move...even if its rare that they move most german blood keepers which gave them more space used it at night. but no offense things gone different for years and will go but as long as the animals dont get injured or so it´s ok...maybe you will give a bigger enclosure even if its a tub a try?
@kksnakes No i tend to agree with you. I house most of my bloods in 3 by 2 foot cages, which is the recomend cage size. The problem was I had approximatly 2 weeks to prepare caging for 10 adult blood pythons. Trust me, this wont be long term perminant caging. I just needed more time to prepare larger cages.
