so...many...layers. There's just so much going on. She's some sort of genius just to be able to mix it all, let alone arrange and play it in the first place. I'm not one to really get emotionally invested in music, but that main mbira riff just kills me...and the bassline is pure magic. It's so easy to make it a totally static part of the track, but she just makes is soar underneath everything here almost effortlessly (even better than the middle 8 in "Tidal")

Well, she has a long and rather masculine neck, she's tall, with slim hips and wide shoulders, and slightly flat-chested. So I can see why people would say that, but still, a lot of woman have those qualities, she just happens to have all of them. It doesn't detract from her appearance in my opinion. Her body may simply produce a higher percentage of male hormones-- it would certainly explain all of those traits, as well as her unusually deep voice.

Really, this song could easily be applied to any person or character leading a dangerous second life. However, the song was actually made for a CD about the plagues of egypt, and this one was supposed to be about the locusts. I have seen it used as a character theme for a werewolf and a brainwashed spy, though.
