  • I LOVE DAVE GROHL

  • Back when I was in high school, I started getting into this band when I gave a way an old skateboard of mine to some dude who needed one for a tournament in my freshman year, and in return he gave me a Foo Fighter's album with that gun on the front of the cd, and a Weezer cd, and I said it was an awesome trade, glad I got introduced to this band. Appreciate all forms of rock, and this was a great song of the 90s!!!

  • @JuggaloFaygoDrinker Go ahead, your complaints are annoying everyone else xD

  • @shadowunderdrums3

    Fuck you square.

  • @JuggaloFaygoDrinker Awe, someone's upset xD

  • @shadowunderdrums3

I may be upset, but at least I'm not a setup.

  • @JuggaloFaygoDrinker Right you are my friend, right you are.. xD

  • 2 words, simply epic

  • When Dave Grohl could write great songs.

  • @gatslingerr what are you talking about, he still with a great talent, and, don't you thing will be bore hear the same melody again, again and again? sure yes, the artists have to rennove, create new cool styles.

  • Holy fuck this is a banger.

  • this song rocks

  • Visite is bad....

  • Wow... I still can't believe Dave Grohl did ALL the song...

    ROCK AND GROHL!

  • who THE FUCK would even COMPARE Foo Fighters to a mediocre band like FUCKING NICKLEBACK. seriously? -.-

i don't want to live in this planet anymore.

  • awesome song my one of the best :D check out my bass cover of it :P

  • Can't we just agree to disagree? Everyone has their own favorite band(s) and we shouldn't look down on someone because of their preferences. Instead, just let everyone listen to what they enjoy.

  • is that the ray gun from black ops zombies??

  • @Inniss23 too bad cod wasnt even a thought when this single came out.

  • one thing ive noticed is this song never ,ever, ever, gets old.

  • Comment removed

  • cant believe he played every instrument in this song hahaha what a legend

  • when i heared this song, i tought: "wow! cool band!"

  • So let's see.... Dave played drums and sang harmony vocals for a popular band. Then he started his own band where he writes all the songs sings lead vocals. He's the Phil Collins of alternative rock !!

  • @zkxb I don't know what is so alternative about them. To me they are just a "power pop" band that play the same style I used to play as a 12 year old learning the guitar!!!

  • @MrGeorgios2020 Hahahah please don't insult yourself by saying Nickelback are on the same level as Foo Fighters nevermind better.. You need to clean your ears out.

  • Comment removed

  • @MrGeorgios2020 I hope to god you're a troll.

  • @amy1231s No I am not a troll (whatever that is). I just appreciate good music. Have you ever seen Nickelback live? Do yourself a favour and go and see them. I have seen both Foo Fighters and Nickelback live, and Nickelback are far superior. I actually saw grown men cry at Nickelback. They are that good. There is something very spiritual about them and their music is inspirational. Merry Christmas anyway from Texas!

  • @MrGeorgios2020 Gotta admit old Nickelback was good, but now, they're a disgrace to rock. Nobody likes them. Quote from Wikipedia:

"Nickelback has received widespread negative reviews from various sources. Review aggregator Metacriticreports that three of their of their six most recent studio albums [...] have scores of 62%,41%, and 49%. [...] In November 2011, users of the music-oriented dating site, Tastebuds.fm voted Nickelback as the #1 musical turnoff, edging of JB and Lady Gaga."

  • @MrGeorgios2020 Nickelback sucks. Foo Fighters kicks Nickelbacks ass, not that it's saying much. Actually, according to a voting on a music-oriented dating site called Tastebuds.fm voted Nickelback the #1 musical turnoff, edging out Justin Beaver and Lady CaCa. I have to admit old Nickelback was cool, but now they suck. I believe that grown men cried while listen to Nickelback. That's just too much torture to take in. I would have cried too.

  • @MrGeorgios2020 Nickelback<Foo Fighters

    Nickelback sucks dick

  • @MrGeorgios2020 On what planet? Nickelback sucks and everyone knows it. A bunch of misogynistic assholes with mechanical music. They are a stain upon the ears of humanity.

  • 32 people never get calls.

  • i love the the

  • what a cool song!

  • this song is actually fucking amazing, DONT ARGUE BITCHES

  • @amisaad214 This song sucks! Trolololol umandbro!?

Nah, jk. I completely agree with your previous statement.

  • I am guilty of singing this in the shower..

  • This should say "song 1 of of HIS first album". Dave Grohl wrote all of the songs and played all of the instruments for the first albums recording.

  • great great fuckiing album. i remember running down to the store to get this on tape lol remember them? lol. i was blowen away, good times. nuff said

  • Kina reminds me of Oasis for some odd reason...

  • @MegaCokamo Oasis couldnt make a pimple on Daves ASS!

  • @iheartZildjian no but you could, you fag.

  • LOL I think I saw the Ray Gun O_O

  • Fuck nickleback

  • YES THEY HAVE SOME CATCHY TUNES, BUT NOT QUITE AS GOOD AS NICKELBACK IM AFRAID

  • @MrGeorgios2020 fuck you!!! nickleback ruined alternative rock for everyone

  • @MrGeorgios2020 lol good one...

  • @MrGeorgios2020 Are you fucking kidding me? You probably only listen to the radio too.

  • @MrGeorgios2020 Don't EVER, compare Dave Grohl to that band that bastardized the name 'rock'.

  • @Kingddd333 You can't really compare them. Foo Fighters are garage pop/punk and a decent (but amateurish) live act. Nickelback are more sophisticated and have better songs which would appeal to more people in my opinion. I have seen both bands live and let me tell you that I saw grown men cry at the Nickelback shows. They are that good. Foo fighters just play the same old power chords and get really boring after a while although the girls like them because Dave Grohl is a sex symbol.

  • @MrGeorgios2020 Pop punk? Don't know where you got that from.. you must be thinking of blink 182 or sum 41 or something like that. Nickelback is actually infamous for making their songs all sound the same.

  • its the ray gun from nazi zombies

  • didnt he record all the instruments by himself on this album?

  • love love love :)))

  • But it's ok :)

  • More like the voice of Kurt than Dave. Nirvana > Foo Fighters

  • @78vrn How about Nirvana=Foo Fighters in their own different ways?

  • Apart from being a powerful drummer, Dave Grohl is also a gifted singer-songwriter as this exciting song testifies!

  • So much power! Every Foo Fighters song is pure perfection.

  • What a fucking song!

  • This LP is becoming a major collectors item, I just bought one HA!

  • @fubmw I managed to get the original demo Grohl sent to Capitol Records that got him signed. I'm so unbelievably happy. Blows the original Tenacious D demo I have out of the water.

  • ray gun in nazi zombies

  • I saw Dave play with the Foo Fighters at a small venue in Louisville KY. There was a small kid, like 5 years old, on the shoulders of some guy in the first couple rows of where we were standing.

Dave called him up on stage an put the kid on his shoulders while they played "Cows." It must have been awesome for the kid and showed he had a big heart and a real cool guy.

  • @1emailer the awesome thing about it is that, they a song about cows, the foos never seaze to amaze me

  • @1emailer noone cares.

  • Thanks for typing the lyrics. Dave must have been pretty high when he wrote them. I'm surprised the engineer double tracked Dave's lead vocals. Maybe he didn't have confidence in being a lead singer at the time.

  • saw them at the palace monday...sick ass concert if you havent seen the foo fighters live then you should go...like right now get tickets right now

  • Why does Kurt Cobain get brought up in the comments of EVERY foo fighters song on youtube?? That's great, he and Dave used to be in a band together. He has nothing to do w/ the Foo Fighters, it's time to move on. I'm a die hard Nirvana fan, but this is a Foo Fighters song. This isn't the place to compare Foo Fighters and Nirvana, Dave and Kurt, etc.

  • what happened to krist novoselic after kurt cobain's death? why is it that he was not reunited with his former bandmate dave grohl in the foo fighters...

  • @hubert6988 From Wikipedia: "He was offered the position of playing bass in a new band, the Foo Fighters, with friend and former bandmate Dave Grohl but both decided against it because they believed people would think of Foo Fighters as a new incarnation of Nirvana."

He's played with some bands noone's heard of, and been involved in politics since. He guests on "Wasting Light".

  • @hubert6988 he played the bass for "these days" on the new album

  • @Mrrossthaboss2000 ahhh ok...

  • @Mrrossthaboss2000 tee-hee you're such a foo fighters fan when you don't know that he played on "I should have known" smart one, not "these days:"

  • @FreakinKoolMedia fuuuu youre right, i was sitting in front of my comp trying to remember but i forgot which segment of the documentary it was where it showed that and i knew it was one of the two. i feel stupid ahahahaha ah well

  • ITS KURTS LASER PISTOL

  • I throught the Wright Brothers called Kurt a genious too.

  • what i want to know is how the hell did kurt reach a bigass shotgun to his head and manage to pull the trigger.....i think it was his gf or wife idk what she was

  • Comment removed

  • @sk8rjarod he pulled the trigger with his toe, i think

  • this song is pretty good to hear when you're driving. >.<

  • is there not a foos video where kurt is being brought up , nirvana wernet even that fucking good the foos are well better

  • Kurt and Dave grohl should be in a band together. JK im no troll. NIrvana+Foo'S forever <3

  • david groll was always the mastermind

  • This is a comment on my channel: "It is funny how often people worship/praise man but rarely the creator, force and inspiration behind man". Wich is true. You cannot call egoïstical, pridefull and imperfect man a genius. The only one who is a real genius is the force behind our inspiration and that is God. And I know I am probably going to get cliche answers like 'God doesn't exist A-hole!'. But I don't care :P

  • Well manhuntruler2, looks like you've gotten yourself in quite the pickle.

  • what's up with the long comments? keep them short people! :D

  • :)

  • I was unloading a truck when I first heard this great song. I was like, man, this song rules. When the song ended and the DJ said this was the first single from Foo Fighters, Dave Grohl's solo project, I was so stoked.

  • So that means these are the same people that would go to a "Them Crooked Vultures" song and say..."Man Led Zepplin was better."

People calm down and enjoy musical creativity!!!!!!!!! DAMN.....

  • You know what is sad? Not being able to go to one Foo Fighters song and have the conversation only be about the Foo Fighters and their accomplishments as an amazing rock band. They are grunge, punk and true rock. I'm getting pretty tired of the constant return to Nirvana, then it becomes a Kurt and Dave conversation on who is best. Lets not compare apples and oranges. They have and had their own talents that should never be compared.

  • @gnargf smartest comment ever about that .. :)

  • you are not educated for an opinion you are following suit if you have nothing to say shut up and let the music play singing for the sake of singing is forsaken go eat shit more productive than speaking it

  • your a competition freak and have not yet learned to see each star for what they are and fuck you for bringing me down i will not curse my eyes forseeing your future god fucking bless you

  • 31 people think fingernails aren't pretty.

  • Not really a foo fighters fan but this is an amazing song which is easily on par with any of the classic Nirvana songs me thinks.

  • Everything you said is true too a point,Yes he could play everything and he is a talented mutha but he does'nt have Kurts darkness back in the day you would wonder what the fuck this guy was thinking,I want some hardcore songs from the foo fighters like when they first came out!!!!

  • Honestly.. people arguing over who's got more talent out of Dave and Kurt..

They're both talented in their own way and no one can take that away from them..

Just dig the fucking tunes man!

  • rock and roll or art in general is all about evolution. folks are inspired by others then they make that art their own and so on...i don't like to believe that someone is "better" or "more talented" than anybody else...when you start looking at art in that way then it's always gonna be a dead end street.

  • Dave is a legend in music. Easily. But, if it wasn't for Kurt Cobain in Nirvana Dave wouldn't have been anywhere and had the fame he had. I wouldn't ever have guessed that quiet vocal heavy drummer in Nirvana would be leader singer screaming at the top of his lungs for one of the greatest bands today.

  • @Methstories U know Kurt wrote all the tabs down for the drums right? Kurt was also a drummer. Am sure if Kurt went solo he could have done WAYYY more than Dave could ever do.

  • @manhuntruler2 Wrote tabs for what? They all helped each other in Nirvana, Kurt more than the rest. Kurt played drums but wasn't as good as Dave. Kurt as a solo artist on guitar may have been better than Dave, if he would have just got off the drugs. I couldn't see Kurt being a great solo artist today and still on all the drugs.

  • @Methstories It's a fucking fact, and an interview about it too that Kurt Donald Cobain wrote and did all the work in NIRVANA first few albums. Besides 1 song that's in their In Utero album. Compare the work from Nirvana to Foo Fighters. Kurt was more of a genius. Foo Fighers are just another Alternative Band that's still around. Nirvana is great and still remembered and respected way more than Foo Fighters ever will be. Also, Kurt was getting off drugs dumbass. And was going solo.

  • @manhuntruler2 Did all the work for the first few albums? Did you just completely ignore where I said they all helped each other but Kurt did more of the work? lol not too mention a lot of Incesticide is mostly covers & songs him and Krist did together. Yeah, and I've also said if it wasn't for Nirvana and Kurt there would be no Foo Fighters. :| do you even read what I say? lol. Kurt was no where near getting off drugs, he escaped the facility he was getting help from.

  • Kurt was the lennon of Nirvana. This guy was kinda like a ringo but with a touch of George Harrison. But do not get it twisted by saying that he's the most talented in Nirvana. He's probably the third in talent rank of Nirvana. He's just more mainstream than Krist. I like David but this is watered down shite compared to anything Nirvana did. You cmon!

  • Visiting is pretty Visiting is good Seems that all they ever wanted was a brother This can be a secret We can keep it good Even all the ever wanting had a problem This is a call to all my Past resignations This is a call to all Fingernails are pretty Fingernails are good Seems that all they ever wanted was a marking Them balloons are pretty big And say they should Ever fall to ground Call the magic marker....
  • just great rock n roll ...

thank God Dave Grohl kept on making music after Nirvana

  • foo fighters are pretty foo fighters are good seems like all they ever make is more good music.

  • THIS IS A CALL!!!!!!

  • this brings me back to like....9th,....10th grade? Awesome

  • David Grohl. that's all i can say.

  • He learned from the best

  • In my opinion, Kurt was a great man, he played a key role in the making of the new genre grunge but come on. Dave is way more talented. I mean the dude recorded 12 tracks, playing every instrument and singing every song himself. Within a span of 5 days to boot! He is a musical genius. He does not get the credit he deserves.

  • @MissTabi2007 I totally. I love Foo Fighters and Nirvana, but Dave Grohl is just awesome!!! He is like, the essence of music as it should be, and though Kurt was cool also, Dave Grohl is just the most epic musician ever!!! :)

  • @MissTabi2007 grunge isn't a genre

  • @MissTabi2007 yeah you are totall right.

    i am quoting your comment.

  • @MissTabi2007 Kurt created all the tabs for all the instruments and back vocals parts for all the albums besides 1 song in their final album in In Utero. Kurt also played drums with other bands during nirvana. Dave is talented but Kurt was a LEGEND! Even John Lennon called Kurt Cobain a Genius. So shut the fuck up if u dont know shit. Nirvana is still more famous and respected more than fucking Foo Fighters.

  • @manhuntruler2 Lennon called Kurt Cobain a genuis? I'm sure John died in 1980 and Kurt first realesed an album in 89 mate

  • @AdamVanHalen1 Wait, Not John Lennon LOL I forget who nows xD

  • @AdamVanHalen1 I dont give a fuck about Lennon. I do give a fuck about Kurt Cobain.

  • @manhuntruler2 You do realise I don't care if you don't care about Lennon...I was just correcting some guys wrong statment man

  • @manhuntruler2

Excuse me? How can you not care about Lennon? Lennon was one-fourth of the Beatles, who revolutionized music.

Without Lennon, there wouldn't be Nirvana. There wouldn't be Foo Fighters. There wouldn't be anything, really.

  • @Brandon91095 How so? U basically saying that The Beatles were the only rock band in the world during the 60's? What about The Doors? Jimi Hendrix? and etc. The Beatles were great, i admit. I just dont see why people give them soooo much credit when... and yes i will say this, when Nirvana did so much more in less period of time.

  • @manhuntruler2

The Beatles invented a lot of the recording techniques used.

How did Nirvana do more, exactly? The Beatles put out more than 200 original songs during their recording career, which was seven years.

Nirvana had the same amount of time. And how many original songs did they put out, exactly?

The Beatles had well over 100 million album sales, which is what Nirvana is currently sitting at, before they broke up.

  • @Brandon91095 Look dude, i see the deference alright. But do you? The Beatles were around for how many years? Until who knows what happened that they stopped producing music. Nirvana started 1987 and ended 1994. Kurt Cobain was 27 years old. So so young. Only produced Bleach, Nevermind, Incesticide , and In Utero.

And later released unhread and unrelased Demo's and overall Tracks. The Beatles were from you ANY ordinary Band. Nirvana was different and did so much more in little time.

  • @manhuntruler2

    Beatles recorded from 1963-1970.

7 years. Nirvana was from 87-94. 7 years.

The Beatles were 29-30 when they broke up.

The Beatles had released 13 albums by that time.

In the mid 90's, the remaining Beatles created the Beatles Anthology, which released several then-unreleased songs, and many different takes of songs that had already been released, over the span of 3 CDs.

The Beatles did WAY more than Nirvana ever did, bro, sorry to break it to you.

  • @Brandon91095 I wouldn't go that far, there would have been Foo Fighters, Nirvana & anything really. Just no Beatles to be in their list of influences.

  • @Brandon91095

honestly beatles have nothing to do with nirvana. beatles are cool but absolutely not rebel or antisocial like grunge was. you could compare the stones to nirvana but beattles are in another world. i love both btw

  • @AdamVanHalen1 nah, PaulMcCartney said Kurt was a genius.

  • @AdamVanHalen1 Pretty sure that guy meant mccartney, who did call cobain a genius.

  • Comment removed

  • @manhuntruler2

"Even John Lennon called Kurt Cobain a Genius."

Are you sure you're not referring to Julian Lennon? Or maybe Seán Lennon?

  • @manhuntruler2 lol you really need a nap and a bit of re-think, kid. too much excitement for you

  • @daddyfatsaxohten Who the fuck are u? lol Ur the kid for just randomly telling me something that happened a month ago. Am guessing ur the one who was very excited KID.

  • @manhuntruler2 ...Why would you ask me who I am on an anonymous board? One month is only pushing a button from page one to page two on here, and I did because of the responses you generated. Thought I could use a laugh, and it paid off :)

  • @daddyfatsaxohten Really? I got a few laughs from this conversations my self actually. Now if you excuse me, i'm gonna go listen 2 Soundgarden :D

  • @MissTabi2007 Yep.

The last time I said something like this....

I got 200 users pile on me.."U DONT NOE WHAT UR TALKING ABOUT MOTHAFUCKAH! U SUCK!!!!11"

  • @MissTabi2007 Ok it was a little over done saying he has more talent than Kurt Cobain.

  • @MissTabi2007 kurt is smore talented, i mean cmon come back to planet earth. BUT it is true that grohl is unfairly underrated and one amazing musician

  • @MissTabi2007

Dave would be the first person to deny that, Kurt Cobain, all fandom and that aside was a true genius in terms of what he achieved and his approach

  • @MissTabi2007 Not to mention re-recorded the drums on Coulor and Shape. But he is also one of the humbleist, and would deny that. But I agree he is the #1most underated and talented musisian

  • @MissTabi2007

sir/madam, i Vote Up this comment 100 trillion times

  • @MissTabi2007

Kurt was great but he was not only key role man in creating grunge genre. There are many people, even before him. Chris Cornell is one of them. Nirvana was just the most popular among them.

Just a week ago I was on a Foo Fighters concert in Ubersee (Chiemsee rocks). It was just awsome. Guys are reall showmen.

  • @MissTabi2007

I love Foo Fighters, but i will always prefer Nirvana, its about opinion, even though im quite happy Foo Fighters formed (Im not happy Nirvana had to die, well Kurt, i would rather have it end in a different way) they have lots of songs i also trully love as well.

  • FOOREVER!!

  • Nowadays there is now gap to fill!!! The 90's a time when you still could get excited and run to the store because of a new band. Ah I miss it so bad.

  • Dave Grohl was like a Prince on this album. Multi instrumentalist. I remember this shit when it first came out. I had not heard about Nirvana band members since thry was over and thought I wouldn't ever. Until suddenly this single came out. Who was it? WHAT? The drummer from Nirvana??? Couldn't believe it. Went to get all their shit and saw the first European performance Live At Brixton on MTV. They and Green Day fileld the gap nirvana left.

  • this is one of the greatest albums ever...

  • shame foo fighters only make wuss rock now.

  • This album rocked you can listen to the whole thing all the way through, because every song is decent, the way music used to be written and played.

  • roll on milton keynes bowl :D

  • ritalin is easy, ritalin is good. As true now as it was back in '95.

  • foo fighters rock ! i saw them in concert back in 1999 i was wasted at that concert to much beer !

  • He was Micks Keith.

  • So I did a flip

  • The gun on the front cover of this album is the one that Cobain used to kill himself

  • @efile4zaggin100 You dick. How is that funny? And in case any dweebs take you seriously, Kurt used a shotgun (not sawn off) which conspiracy theorists think he wouldn't have been able to manipulate with his foot given how much smack was in his system.

  • @SharnsiR lol ..... relax man.

  • @efile4zaggin100 A ray gun? lol

  • @Gordaton Looks like Dave Grohl was a Nazi Zombie enthusiast XD. Jk.

  • awesome

  • yeah. their 1st Albums were heavily Grunge/Alternative post-grunge.

in your honor and i expect next records to be this American Mainstream Rock.

  • cobains legacy

  • Dave Grohl > Kurt Cobain so he killed himself :(

  • @sckrbt

    Yeah but think about this

if it had'nt been for Nirvane, The Foo Fighters probaly would be just another Scream-Type band Dave Grohl is associated with
