hendry is the best in many ways but he bored the ass of me in the 90's

he was the perfect professional u only need to look at all the records he broke and the no of matches he won

but it depends what you mean best personaly i like to be entertained and his endless breaks all the same only do that for a short while

what you need is Ronnie Jimmy A higgins

hendry won so much because He had the desire (u can see it in his eyes every shot)

so on paper hes the best

It is an authentic pleasure to watch Stephen Hendry playing snooker - smooth, soft strokes, fine,adjusted outputs, brilliant vision of the position. simply Great player with a capital letter.

I really suspect if we can find someone equal to him in the nearest century.Stepen Hendry = Snooker!!!

Hendry is a piece of SHIT. He was and still is obsessed with winning,that's why he won more than the rest,not because he's the best. Ronnie O'Sullivan is better than he is , Jimmy White is better than he is, Alex Higgins is better than he is. Period.

@DadoBrso because he isn't obsessed with winning the way Hendry was / is .Plus snooker wasn't at such a high level as it is nowadays. Ronnie, Higgins,Williams were too young back then and their game wasn't as complete as it is today, so Hendry didn't have any tough competitors.

@bogdychamp lol if it wasn't of hendry there wud be no compeition in this era, because the style of play modern players play was pioneered by hendry, if hendry came in 2000 he wud of introduced that player that other players wudn't know, and dominate, u call an era with jimmy, white, o sullivan, higgins, parrot, doherty, ebdon as weak??? lol
