I've always found that to be true with many works of art. As Christians that's why we can watch films like Narnia, or LOTR, and see Godly themes. Or, in this case hear them in music. But, try and explain that to an unbeliever and they're like: "uh did we see/hear the same thing?" Not that we should start trying to run to "gutter" art to find the Jesus in it, but I think the Holy Spirit does bring out truth that His people will "see" and unbelievers won't even realize they created in the art.

Many Christians have to interperet love songs such as this one as spiritual because we no how ridiculous it is to believe some of today's "love songs" applying to romantic relationships in a broken world. I even thought that the term "Calvinism" was just a nickname for five points of doctrine, and that before the FOLLOWERS of James Arminius came along, we were just Christians!
