I can't believe how many complaints this is getting. It wasn't made as an assault to a great song, it was made to play homage to an incredible song. Very few cover songs reach the momentum of the original. It's incredibly difficult to recapture the original magic.

This an iconic song. Hard to cover.
She put her own twist to it and made it hot! (guys point of view...).
This is not an easy cover by any means.
Check out Stefani Germanotta's (pre Lady Gaga) cover of this song where she kept it close to the original for comparision,
