  • lol this beat cracks me up so hard lol... it's hella dope though, which makes it even funnier

  • Massive tune. Samiyam / Hyperdub - pure firepower.

  • YEAH!

  • @AyeTran Pink Moon Dykes?

  • wonky/futurebeats

  • Here in the UK they call this style... Bullion's style... Flying Lotus' Style... Dabrye's style... Hudson Mohawke's style - "Wonky Beats". The music is supposed to have a 'dislocated spine'

  • Holy fuck this guy is awesome, and so underrated.

  • this comment is for those that said the bass part isnt in time...... samiyam is a genius ..... he meant to put the drum part on the up beat of ti instead of the down beat....... keep doing wat ur doing sam!!!!

  • what album is this of

  • this is tight

  • This is alright, it meanders a bit though. Shigeto does a better job, I reckon.

  • tru dat god @ street sams beats even flylo sometimes as well as a few others mess around with beats to concoct something different these candy coated producers and rappers need to become novel like them

  • Gottah admit Samiyam is just one of the guys where you could listen to his songs high as hell and masturbate to at the same time.!

  • This sounds like there are two songs playing at the same time.

  • samiyam is one of the better executors of the offbeat sound. dope shit

  • I once saw Samiyam Eating green eggs and Ham

  • ANybody know he gets i=his synth to sound like this?

  • the percussion in this is fuckin genuis. bit1 or knxwledge style. lovin those soft snares ;) this genre is booming right now, there are some HOT producers out there now.

  • @heeheheheehehe welcome to the gerne but dont be comparing samiyam with anyone,.. he is droppin science

  • @DZMPLZ i've been in the genre for a while (: i produce as well, and im not trying to say sam isn't good, he's incredible, but there are manymanymanymany up and coming producers that are doing some raunchy and different shit. i also only compared the percussion in this specific song to just a few producers, not associating his whole style with other producers.

  • @heeheheheehehe how can you tell which one the snare is lol

  • erm.... what is this ass shit?

  • @IMadeChuckNorris it's music

  • The Sword of Sound ( AKA Sonic Sword) is a tyme travelling declaration of Sonic War fare against the formless evil, also known as simon cowell, whose anaesthetic sound has hypnotized many. (see X factor). Allies s in this battle is Dibiase, Flying Lotus, Samiyam and Ras G from the brain feeder massive. Exile, Full Crate, Silkie, Wiley, James Blake, My Self, Joob, Mono/Poly and an un remember-able amount of others who, through sound, to destabilize the powers that claim to be. ENJOY

  • mcs i chop up like this beat i mop up swiffer fast any crass wannabe lad on the stage

  • @FREEyaDOMe ...on stage as i grip the apparatus although i have yet to get the status i got a couple of followers on youtube and twitter but regardless battlin me, u screwed so i think u need to get a little bigger no need for a child-like on this wild flight please dont turn this into a fright night like chris sarandon cuz me and the mic...yeah that bitch is a tandem

  • im liking this ish right here

  • i could never get into this type of sloppy-just-do-it-whatever-hip-hoppy-non quantized beats. How are you supposed to nod your head to this?

  • @streetxlite lie down

  • @streetxlite

how can you not nod you head on this joint?

it's easy as fuck haha, it happens automaticly

  • @streetxlite you let the music take over ur judgement, ur opinions n just go with the flow

  • @streetxlite do that: listen to the first blues recordings we have so far, then get to the jazz thing, and move ur way up chronologically thru all the music that was made... listen to old rock, funk, disco, house, rap .. etc.. and THEN vibe to this.. ull hear it has the same soul most of this music.. stripped down music, just the basics... to that id add, if u bump it in a club it does something quite impossible to describe and very positive.

  • @streetxlite it's beat music. you have to make up for the lack of a rapper in the song. i guess the general term for his percussion is referred to as "wonky" style, but in reality, it creates a heavier rhythm, it creates unpredictability, and is doing something out of the ordinary. If you think this is wonky, you'd really hate some other producers out there whose beats are almost entirely unfollowable. I used to hate it, it annoyed me. But now I love it, and I produce it. Training of the ears.

  • @heeheheheehehe

yeah i do understand the style but i think other producers just do it better.

Shigeto has been in my top 5 for awhile, he does this 'wonky beat' type broken thing, but it actually sounds flowy... hmm. different strokes for different folks i guess

  • @streetxlite Definitely! I mean, there is so much out there that it's kinda hard to call anyone "better" than anyone else, cause each producer does everything their own specific way. Regardless, Samiyam is genius, and he was the guy that I first heard this experimental, wonky-ish beat music from! Shigeto is also a genius too :D

  • good ol' hyperdub days

  • love the lo-fi resonance of the bass synth in this.

    Sounds like Robocop farting.

  • love the lo-fi resonance of the bass synth in this.

  • got knocked out by them kicks

  • Lovin' the natural flow of the syncopation on Samiyans beats.

  • @Dubb1000 that's what happens when electric signals get sequenced without quantization

  • @UrbanCrunkMovement yeah man, this beat just flows like the ocean, very unpredictable to some degree, I think they probably play Samiyam beats in space, Them Aliens be breakin' their necks to this sh*t, LoL!

  • this guy is so deep in the pocket

    absolutely sick track

  • Shocking.

  • delicious

  • he eats treb and shits bass

  • @racoondalini haha well said

  • this beat is phat. no doubt.

  • kick hits like boxer's punchs

  • the drums arent offbeat, jesus christ, they're just loose. if they were off beat it wouldnt make any sense at all.

  • Comment removed

  • @denisehuxt the drums arent off if u lissen they are supposed to be that way ...yea itz a quirky beat but it flows nonetheless

  • i like shit like this

  • you just can't go wrong with anybody from Brainfeeder crew (Hudson Mohawke , Samiyam, FLYamSAM, Flying Lotus, Daedelus, Ras G, Teebs, Nosaj Thing, Lorn, GLK [Gas Lamp Killer], Ques, the list goes on people).

  • @crayZneZZ You really can't. I'm glad I found about this label sooner

  • I love this track, I just wish he'd give it a bit of a rest on the off beat drums sometimes, because I can't really get into this fully and bop my head, none of it hits hard enough. Nevertheless it is extremely creative and original, and I still love it.

  • @PushingWork instead of bobN ur head why dont u just move to it......

  • true expression

  • the way he makes music i hear it that way and props to SAMIYAM!!!

    out of many is few?

  • ....this cat and flylo know where it's at son...
