  • everybody just listen to volodos!

  • * _ * <3

    Perfect!

  • she played a note wrongly at 2.38. IM EVIL ENOUGH TO REVEAL THIS MUAHAHHAHAAA >:)

  • @Ytfsux Yea, she played a C instead of c#

  • Good good...but Volodos is more powerful

  • some ppl make things look easy, but here yuja makes it look impossible.

  • Yuja doesn't have an i in it, person-who-wrote-the-description.

  • im gonna try to learn this piece in 3 weeks

  • @superman1113215 Good luck!

  • OMG! What an inspiration! You are amazing!

  • So many people "try" to play this Volodos transcription. Some, like Wang, are more succesfull than others. Why does nobody try o tackle his Glinka Variations? Or even better make their own transcription! Playing this is hard, making a transcription like this even harder!!!!

  • Beautiful, outstanding performance. I only criticize the poor dynamics

  • LATE VIDEO! hahahaha

  • I just cant fallow her fingers

  • Amazing playing. A few wrong notes, but who cares. Incredible talent. I do prefer Volodos's rendition

  • @TheDustinnguyen which two songs? im currently learning this song... dont think ill be as good XD ive played for four years and im going to level 10 still... XD

  • she's good. but i still prefer Volodos' xP

  • @merelollipop i prefer both!

  • @merelollipop agreed.

  • amazing!!!!! XD

  • This is some serious talent :O

    She just amazes me! =D

  • idk but i loveee to play this song on pump it up :B

  • omg shes incredible! i wish i could play like her. that song is very difficult-i havnt even dared to learn it. i've only learned two of yuja wang's songs.

  • @TheDustinnguyen that is not Yuja Wangs song... It's Volodos: P

  • @1995Hove oops i meant two of the songs that she plays :)

  • braaaaaaafoooooooo

  • justin bieber made 23 accounts to dislike emotional music from his/her own poems

  • Soo good!

  • I'm all for the original in case of such transcriptions when it comes to serious music. Still, sometimes music is not supposed to be serious, it is supposed to be fun. And this is, above all, fun!

  • if I had a time machine I'd take her back with me to visit 'Unlce' Wolfgang and see what he thought!!!

  • If she played a little longer, the piano would be on fire.

  • @kev7978 I am on fire already

  • Let me just say, seeing her live, her presence is electrifying!!!

  • Is the violinist at 2:51 trying to beat her?

  • @NiteoFulgur no the violinist is just trying to tame those irresisteble hands from doing something what you think is not right 3:)

  • Except for the video/audio sync problem, Yujia Wang's rendition of this is still on my top 10 list!

  • brilliant!!!!! just brilliant!!!!!!!!!

  • awesome

  • WOW at 2:14

  • WOW

  • her hands in the ending phrase looks like machine gun

  • GOT DANG THAT PIANO WAS SMOKING!

  • Yuja IS the modern piano. She is imo the worthiest successor of Horowitz, who was the interpreter of our/his time. Her interpretation of this piece, as well as her Scarlatti and Scriabin is the most original since the great maestro. And remember that he was the prodigy sensation of his time. For example, his Scriabin is the greatest ever. Hers is the most original since then.

  • @BUS344Yankees true, but she didn't do the interpretation for this piece. Volodos did.

  • Mostra... sem mais. D:

  • She is no match for Volodas!!!

  • this video has a serious audio mismatch

  • @magickayson Yes, but remember that - video cannot yet achieve that speed :-))

  • @Mla1ani no, obviously the guy who converted the format of this video didnt' take care of this. Look at other videos on youtube. They don't have this problem.

  • @magickayson It was just my joke, to express how much I admire those artists' great technique ! It's the fruit of an enormuos and tedious work, through many years. The fruit that we have pleasure to have it served here !

  • @Mla1ani yes i also agree that in terms of the music and artistic, she did a fantastic job which i admire very much. but i only listen to this video but not watch it cux the time lag is so obvious to a state that it affects your enjoyment.

  • think what you want.its one the best "flashing" show pieces i know, the audience loves it and a lot of pianists play it.so this piece could not work better.but you can go on criticize it,no one is interested.

  • @Achtelnote You are, evidently. And people liking it doesn't proove anything.

  • @licafarafrica Sorry but this is completely nonsense what u say, EVERY pianist have his/her own way of playing. Volodos is an outstanding pianist but not the best...

  • It seems that Volodos' thought was something like "this part is soft, lets make it softer, this part is loud and great, lets make it louder and greater; and lets make it generally more daring, ambitious and technically demanding", but he didn't fully understand the original alla turca. Mozart is perhaps the greatest musical genius who ever lived, and this rondo is one of his most famous works: it will hardly be improved. However, there are many valuable elements in Volodos' transcription.

  • @lupuspglh it seems more that you didnt understand volodos.search for the interview where he talks about his intentions, then you`ll see.

  • @Achtelnote I only found it in languages that I don´t understand. But if you understood what he said I'm sure you'll be able to repeat his ideas.

  • @lupuspglh2 he said that he also plays the original and that it is a complete other piece.here he only tried to show what is possible on the piano.its more like a paraphrase from liszt.he never wanted make anything better than mozart.

  • @Achtelnote Whatever his intentions were when writing it, the piece must be evaluated the same way. It has nothing to do with the original one, but that does not deteriorate its quality. The problem is, first, that with colours, characters, and textures that are so dense and contrasting, you need more space and a different structure (probably more than one movement). Then, the evolution of the colous, textures and characters is not controlled: he follows the scheme Mozart made,

  • @Achtelnote but again, that does not work for this new piece. Last of all, there are many elements that "sound cool", such as small variations on the melody, dialogue between two voices, etc. There are few things more dangerous than including something because it "sounds cool": in the melody, the new elements rather weaken it, and the dialogue between two voices also has a weak melody and really no point.

  • The devil is inside her

  • @lupuspglh I want to be inside her, too LOL

  • Hm, I love love LOVE Yuja~!! All of her music is..Just plain out WOW.

Though, I don't really think this song is for her..Mostly because it has a very heavy left hand influence, and she doesn't seem to have the control in her left side like Volodos does.

Don't get me wrong! This piece is superb, but she's lacking some of the strength required.

I still love her either way!!!!!! XDDD

  • übertreib.!

  • wow as if someone farts a cough right before she plays

anyways she plays this with finess

  • you are the best???????

  • Volodos blows. Yujia's awesome.

  • 1:40 ... =O!!

  • It's like the piece going to the max.

  • @Evaldas521 I do not agree.

No offense to Ms. Wang, but I personally prefer Volodos' rendition of this piece.

  • wow..her hands are like..*forward*forward*..->->..very fast de..nice one!!nice!!..very nice!

  • HEN HAO....flawless...!!!

  • amazing every time i see it, thats y im learnin that song rite now and as u guessed hardest thing anyone could play

  • She's playing effortlessly!!

  • ARE YOU asian? me, sea monkey fan and @raw687 are both asian so what the hell?

  • asians have better technique but are burned out of their emotions...i should know

  • NO!!!! @RAW687 but are you asian??? im korean

  • i'm chinese with super crazy parents

  • oh but dude i have 201 pages of extra work everyday not including schoolwork. Dude i know my camera quality suck and I suck at playing but check out my other version of the turkish march mozart but remember it says on the title the OTHER version.. listen to it @raw687

  • @raw687

There's no time for emotions in this piece. It's plain technical.

  • Everyone has technique, Asians just use that to their advantage and abuse it ._.

I can play with emotions T.T... just not that good xD

  • @EternalChaos000

well, that's because technique is improved the most when it comes to just flat-out practicing, which is what many asians i know do >.>

  • @kimcheeseller I still consider they're playing dull despite their technique xD..

  • @EternalChaos000 very funny, as if asians were robots or sort of things... that is ridiculous... the only thing is that asians mostly don't use any weird facial expression to show emotions or feelings. Besides, just because it's technically perfect, doesn't mean it lacks emotion. Does it make sense to create feeling by not playing flawless. In your comment I can't read nothing but envy.

  • @arschgrauviolett Whatever you say, sure.

  • And what would the purpose be for your genious mind??

  • Even better than the own Volodos, by the way, beautiful woman.

  • @zirianos absolutely not beter than volodos. volodos plays much more military MARCH style, I dont like her playing here - she plays a mean bumblebee but doesnt do it here. Good on technique though.

  • 2:00 - 2:07 Cool

  • Awsome !!! Bravossimo !!!

  • those hands are figgin awesomeee damn wish i have big fingerss.....

  • @nikez92 It's not the big fingers.... it's what you do with them that counts... !

  • I just finished listening to Volodos play this. He really makes use of the bass line. It's easier to hear the purposeful dissonance in their also. He plays much more powerfully. I love Yuja's playing...but he was the one that wrote the transcription...and he plays it better. I think a higher quality recording would have done a lot more for Yuja's playing. I have listened to just about everything that Yuja has put on youtube and I love her playing. They are both wonderful pianists.

  • @robertslistening exactly, his playing is more military like, you get a sense of that marching kind of experience well observed!

  • I can't no longer stand that prejudice against Asian pianists. We have in Europe sooo many blond boys/girls that a pervasive marketing aims at 'selling' in quality of world class musicians, and that have neither technique nor musical personality (France is presently a joke, in this regard).

Volodos is, who doubts, an immense artist + a transcriptor of the most irresistible kind, like Horowitz or Cziffra were.

Mrs Wang makes a beautiful tribute to this transcription. Thanks to both of them.

  • @romotchka what prejudice against asian pianists? Almost all of them play with no feeling, while their technique is top notch - just because people call it like it is and tell the truth, doesnt mean its necessarily prejudiced - sure there will be racism anywhere, even against europeans, but classical music originated from europeans and its obvious when you compare the feeling and interpretations they offer. Dont get me wrong, asian pianists are good

  • @AK410 : I appreciate your answer. Yep, classical comes from European ***composers*** but, especially nowadays, I make a point to be agnostic towards the performer's origin. For instance, Hélène Grimaud, Alexandre Tharaud, are European, sure, and are nothing but marketing impostures. That was my initial point.

However, a truly great pianist like Yvonne Lefébure said Asians could have *some* lack of imagination. I believe it used to to be true but it evolves with generations.

  • You see this skills and you call Yuja a random Asian pianist?

Both Volodos and Yuja are very good, how about that? This girl has the precision and musicality of the world class pianist. I saw her in concert a few months ago....and she's only 22/23, imagine what she'll become in another few years.

  • You wouldn't even notice a genius when the word is written on his forehead. It isn't even hard to see that there are worlds between them both, but many layman aren't able to see that.

  • Next time you comment, make sure that it do have some sense. Read your comment again and try to understand it.

  • @trym88 exactly, while she isnt that random, volodos can not be compared to yuja, not yet, and not until she really shows some creative genius

  • youtube Frames per/sec cant even support her speed! bravo!!!!

  • Dance of the spiders...

  • Yûja, ez ji te hez dikim.

    I love you Yûja

  • Got that right!

  • WOW! you are FANTASY!

  • i prefer Yuja..sorry:(

  • @sal50811 you have poor musical taste

  • That's not a problem of musical taste...it's only a funny piece..that's it!

  • love her!:)

i watched many videos of that version. and Yuja plays it like nobody else........expecially from 2:28 to 2:33 (the right hand) Volodos can't play that moment as well as yuja does!

  • I like this variation on Rondo Alla Turca. She's very good!!

  • @RondoAllaMusica very good is an understatement ;-)

  • I actually really like her performance of it. Her left hand is amazingly light on those killer octaves. Excellent !

  • i know this is volodos' own transcription, but i really enjoyed yujia wang's performance of this better -- it's much more musical! a great performance!

  • Why?

  • oh my god WOW! thatisall

  • A very clean,well-polished performance. Bravo!

  • too silent -_- can you hear?

  • Beautifully executed!

  • Lol the camera didnt keep up with her hands!

  • WAOO>>>> No comment on her.... REALLY FANTASTIC!!!!! GOD GIRL PIANIST!!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!!!

  • Those incredible flying fingers, just phenomenal.

  • Holy crap!

    That is so good!

I need to get this sheet music so I can try playing it!!

(Of course...not nearly as fast) haha

    Great job!!!

  • this is the bestest arrangement iv'e heard !! i love thiss !!! :) :)

  • But I think The video in the rehearsing room is a much better recording then this one It's the mic is much closer to the piano itself. /watch?v=j1fgo7hp-Ko

  • agree

  • This version of the piece has a lot of pedal in it, its not yuja. check volodos playing it himself you'll see:)

  • lol....idiot.

  • goddamn.. she got me stunned with my mouth to the floor.. damn..

  • Volodoss is a master...he is unique...

  • i like this interpretation because it matches with the word "rondo"~

  • She has good technic, but there are many pianist can do that, its not a problem with any good pianist!

  • it's not just technique; very few female pianists play like that - so energetic and powerful. the only other name that comes to mind is argerich

  • Escepcional " increible . Muy bueno ...

  • I would marry her in 2 seconds.

  • 2nd part was soooooo difficult... promise!!!!

  • possibly even more entertaining playing that song than volodos himself

    perfect

    bravo

  • i was thinking the same thing

  • c'est la gloire

  • I respectively disagree. Growing up I took violin lessons and guitar lessons for three years and spent a year on both the trumpet and drums. I'm going on 15 years if piano study and still struggle tremendously. None of these instruments were easy for me but I'd still put piano towards the top.

  • not really

i play, its hard to do

    harder than most instruments

  • how can you say something like that? i play piano and violin..and then piano is an extremely difficult instrument to play with expression and accuracy!

  • yes, haven't you heard?

its a new breed of human.

the "ELITE MUTANTS THAT KICK BUTTOX"

    ya know?

  • 2:42 lol

  • simply AMAZING

  • nadie la toca como volodos

  • Fast nice! Wuao!!!

  • Wow...a very interesting song...very fast!hahahahahahahah!!!!!

    i like it!

  • I'll learn this some day, I swear!

  • lol! i said the same thing!

  • But I'm going to =) It will take hell of a lot time but i will learn it. ( I need to learn cheet music at first.. )

    :D

  • 1:17 hurt my ears--way too high! Audio was off, but I must say that she plays it the best out of all the videos I've seen.

  • she's cute...i love her....

  • o..m...g... that is awesome! her fingers look like they were flying...

  • Does anyone know where I can find the cheet music for this song? I've been searching for it for ages and would be really thanksful if you told me if you know!
