@DivineNewsNetwork The brass serpent on a pole which the Israelites looked upon for a cure was a prefigure of the crucifix. John is referring back to this graven image in his chapter 3:4. The point is, graven images need not be idols. The cherubs on the Ark of theCovenant were also graven images. The Bible forbids worshipping such images, but obviously does not forbid creating all such images.

Am I missing something here or was that sermon meaningful in some way. I could not see a message anywhere except gather your flock before the slaughter. He seems to have done nothing exceptional with his life so why is he pretending he is superior. No offense meant.
