@Spleenfome don't listen to the Obsidian Conspiracy it's an attepmt to broaden their fan base, All of their albums since "dreaming neon black" are good n' heavy. The albums before that are more like progressive thrash, but also really good. This Godless Endeavor is often regarded as their best album (it has this song) but it varies in speed and heaviness.

@Adzyman1 It's a complex band. One of those that's hard to really put into a specific subgenre. For a while I just said it was technical death metal with clean vocals, but that's not quite true. It has a small whiff of the few decent bits of mallcore too. I'd just say it's technical heavy metal (as in the same vein as Priest, Maiden and Manowar).

@Santaslave666 Mallcore's a better way of describing the likes of Slipknot etc. than metalcore, since it's not metal, and hardcore influences were already prevalent in the 80s metal styles. I'm trying to find some kind of connection to a genre, which may not be there. Nevermore is difficult to pin down, but if you go beyond aesthetics, there are similarities between Nevermore and Maiden, Priest and yes, even Manowar.
