@swss12 It would still show a heavy stack for North America, you haven't got a very big population compared to other nations. The population of the EU for instance is 600 million (double the USA) and that stack is no where near the height of the USA's, same with China. America is just that much of an inefficient beast.

But anyway that doesn't have to do with the facts exposed here. Being the 5% of the world ( in terms of population) USA consumes 25% of the resources. That's a dead end for world's economy and a burden that natural enviroment can no longer take.

this must be based off per capita consumption and also I dont think alaska consumes that much oil except based per capita. If it was based on total consumption china and india would be way up there too.

If this chart is correct then very large amounts of oil are being consumed in the Himalaya Mountains north of India. Also in the Aleutian Islands of Alaska! What are they doing up there on Everest? And on those little islands in the Bering Sea? This needs to be investigated!
