when the lady comes with the camera in a bundle i would be the first one to buy it.^^
should i go for the sony or a dslr like Nikon d5000 or canon 500d? Is the more expensive price worth the money ?

u looks amateur like me so, keep ur money and go for the HX1.
for me it has everything I want: this panorama mode, tilting screen, antiblur, antiblink, facedetection, good quality HD, It's zoom is amazinggggggg i think it can beat the zoom of the standard lens of the 500D, tilting screen(for me I don't like to use the optical viewfinder only in the most of the DSLRs), 10 frames per second !! this is massive but u'll wait at least 10 secs afterwards for processing images, hope this help.
