  • if this was in america and they asked americans alot would say "what are you talking about" or "omg im gonna be on tv"

  • USA have passed a similar law, across europe filesharers are being targetted popular websites like ninjavideo taken down, is it any wonder people think the western liberal democracy is simply a hollow democratic oligarchy

  • Interesting how the adjective draconian was used (0:37), was it a simple doctor who reference (doubt it), or more a negative oriented connotation? even though my curiosity seems to be satisfied by my intellect i would still enjoy someones opinion.

  • everyone should end there subscriptions, stop buying cds and dvds, boycott concerts and cinemas and watch the creative industry destroy itself.

  • time to stop letting our governments bend their knees to the capitalists

  • NET 2.0 = NWO

  • (Bright pink posters ) go up in Londons Internet Caf`es telling users It is a criminal offence to download or access Extremist material or Offensive material or email attachments

I Find Them Taking Away Our Freedom OFFENSIVE

  • typical labour: never listen to the people

  • This act was never debated! It was rushed through in just 2 hours

  • "OK. Let's check out his E-Mails. Hmmm. This guy is planning to blow up some random building. Blah blah blah. Whatever."

"HOLY SHIT! This guy just downloaded the new Tits OnCoverBecauseMyMusicsucksandIsuckedMyProducersDickToGetAnAlbumDeal album. Someone get the police there immediately!"

  • Pirate Websites my ass. They want to censor and control the minds of the public

  • Masons desperate to hang on to power.

  • ITS NOT (entirely) ABOUT PIRACY!! It's about internet based news offering another perspective than what the newspapers and TV news stations provide. The government HATES people being well informed with information other than what they've been fed by corporate media EI: Wikileaks.

Guess what? Now they can censor ANY site they want. If they find out you've been accessing restricted data then thats one strike against you.. plus fines.. and maybe jail time.

  • 3g donels? 15gb for £15 from free (as a very last resort)

  • @djresche87 3 sorry lol xD

  • this is such a load of bullshit. Im a huge heavy metal fan and most of the artists i listen ot are very hard to find on itunes. As metal is underground filesharing helps an artist fanbase, i sure as hell have got in to more bands by downloading than buying their records. its pathetic government just wants more control

  • So much for democracy!.This bill is an infringement of our human rights.

We`ll end up like North Korea at this rate!

  • why dont we put the bill up to a true vote and ask the people of britain if they want the bill, from looking at the comments on here over 80% of people wont want the bill. the coming election will be a joke, conservative will get in, but deep down people know nothing will change, theyre just kidding themselves with their power to the people bullshit vote. i hope people in britain do revolt soon, theyll have to some day..

  • @sony8877 I couldn't agree with you more but as soon as you mention revolt the government will be watching your ass closely lol!

  • its unbelievable, the internet has thrived without government in the past 10 years, now government want to get their grubby hands all over and make it how they think it should be. the best way for the internet to survive is to leave it alone it is the most 'democratic' system there is

  • BS pure BS!!! Btw you guyz have my permission to use my internets here in the US... : )

  • @chucknorris687 - Set up a subscription proxy serer. You'd make a fortune.

  • If I remember right it was thatcher who privatized BT and alot of politicians made tons on shares, now that many factors have come to light about our vast network economy, government wants to add on yet again more tax to a system they sold to banks years ago and have taxed heavy for years.

  • Labours FASCIST REGIME!

    Wake up people!

  • UK becoming more police state than monarchy. Don't save Queen - FASCIST REGIME!

  • DEB, crafted by and unelected sleazebag, Madelson, who spent the two weeks before the bill passed, with David Geffen as a "guest" of Nat Rothschild. This bill is a tool of the global corporations toprevent their continuing exposure, and the informational empowerment of the plebs. Do we have to obey unlawful, legislation made by an unelected tool of the corporate elite?

  • so its safe to bring up my children on the fact its WRONG TO SHARE.

  • This Bill is merely in place to ensure big labels like EMI maintain their monopoly of the creative industries, it is abhorrent that MP's decisions can be auctioned off to the highest bidder, we need to put a cap on the donations made to the House of Commons, vote Lib Dem

  • oh well, back to buying coppies of music, video and console games from organised crime syndicates, just like the good old days, thanks gordon.

  • mentioned before but there are alot of old songs and theme tunes from movies and tv shows that aren't avalable to buy from itunes or any other legal sites, how are people surposed to be able to download them now.

  • @DECIMALS2007 it's not just songs either.. there's all sorts of stuff that's no longer in physical form anywhere, even on ebay.

  • I found a good site that has a good report on the digital bill but not sure how to post it on here

  • Spooks must be gutted now. Oh to be a VPN operator this year. Encryted traffic levels will go through the roof from UK addresses through proxies. Anyone wanting to hide criminal activity has just got lots of unwitting support from joe public. Oh to be the fly on the wall at MI offices when briefings on the bill popped up on the desktop.

  • @RashidDostum

Haha, yeah. SSL to PROXY to FREEDOM baby.

  • who pays for there broadband???????

well pay for your fucking music you scummy thiefing bastards.

you don't download your phone connection for free so why get music for free

    fucking low lifes.

  • @NextOfKinOfficial I think you fail to realise the severity of this Bill, theoretically, if you live on the same street as someone pirating music etc your connection could be cut without a fair trial.

The site this comment is posted on can be blocked due to an amendment sneaked in at the last minute.

Even if the Government doesn't use the full powers of this Bill they shouldn't even have that utility in the first place

  • It's time for a revolution and as a end result hang all the damn elite including the damn inbred royals.

  • Hackers and pirates can just use darknet. In fact, they've just given them even more incentive to use it. Good going lol.

  • Have they thought this one out as we live in a Wireless Communication world which mean someone can latch on and then have access no mater what security you have on your Computer after all Gchq & the Mi5 mi6 aswell as C.I.A and other do this without your Knowledge. So again the Film Industry & the Music Industry are just bithing of loseing Revenue after all that what it comes down too ??. It will not work out.

  • politicians are whores

    BAD whores

  • Apparently the music industry is lossing so much money Lady Gaga can't afford to wear any clothes for her next video. Seriously where is the proof the music industry is losing money????? It's all BS. When there is no proof in the pudding there is no pudding for there to be proof.

  • @confusion180 yes, this 'anti-piracy' thing is just a cover for what it really is about. this isn't about fighting piracy, it's about them maximising and increasing their already enormous profits.

  • There's some songs, particularly old ones that you can only get from file-sharing, I'm against downloading illegally but at least make everything available.

  • The bill is a joke and totally against the democratic process.Plus it infringes on our human rights. What the point in paying for internet services if you have no download limit because you can`t download.

This bill will bring the internet providers less revenue!

Lord Mandelson should crawl away like the snake he is!

  • @nickxcore74 exactly, that's why ISPs don't like it.. they realise they would have to cut off a large chunk of their paying customers if they truly went about enforcing this crap. it's bad enough that ISPs impose download limits on advertised unlimited services.

  • @emuholic from what i just read, it seems they have the right to have you keep payin the bill even though "cut off" h**p://euobserver*com/871/28876

  • @cozmic100 ... incredible.. why the hell should anyone have to pay a penny for a service they can no longer get. just like the rest of this bill, it's falls on its ass in the face of fairness, logic and reason. imagine if you're locked to an 18 month contract and you get cut off with 16 months left. the average person hasn't got money to burn, that's why a lot of people are using the net for file sharing in the first place. a lot are just kids with pocket money.

  • Check out why one of the millions reason the U.K wants to shut down the Internet connection.

Go to my channel (U.K soldiers beating up Iraqi little kids)

  • the terroristic internets r bad 4 u'z

we will turn it off 4u

  • Ha, you touch the internet you're dead my friend.

  • why didnt he take off the hat if it was windy????

carrying a fake copper hat looks more stupid??

  • Hey Brits, can you say Norsefire!! This is a page right out of Chancelor Sutler's book!!!

  • i smell corruption

  • corruption

  • I'm unable to fully express my anger toward this happening... It is just plainly wrong. "1984 was not supposed to be an instruction manual.".

  • wtf!

  • Government is just going way to far with.

  • This is the first step in them cutting our voices. Belive me you think that our voices dont get heard they do and there going to push to cut us off. I agree with all you you I am angry in a rightous way. I am rightfully indignant! God will avenge these fools! We have to do all we can to keep our voices on the internet!

  • Fascism is great isn't it? Maybe we should abolish the market and let the commons decide what is viewed.

  • I HATE CORPORATIONS!!!

People have had enough! I am mad as hell and won't take it any more! These corporations do the same in the US and had it happen to me today.

Off with their heads when all else fails.

  • they are scare because sharring NWO docs over net. Ppl need to find the truth

  • all I can say is thank god my country (Ireland) isn't part of the UK anymore or we'd have this backwards dictatorial rule.

  • this is ridiculous.. talk about retarding a nation...

  • Our courts shot down attempts by the FCC to take over our internet.....thank god.

  • Lol. No man. The FCC argued that the internet providers can't slow down or restrict access to anything on the web and court said no! Now Internet providers can cut you off if they don't like the sites your using. This whole thing stated when ATT cut out service to customers who used Bit Torrent. Are you thanking God for that?

  • The digital economy bill is horrible, we pay enough if I have to pay for internet files too then I just might quit, we thought we just might get away without paying on the internet, but now we know we will have to look somewhere else for freedom..

  • It is an attempt to turn back the clock. It will fail. It must fail

  • This is actually a step in the right direction.

If the government shuts down your internet, you're going to be god damn pissed. Too many people live on MMORPGs, Facebook, and Twitter to just go "dang. I guess what is, is."

The best part is, nobody is innocent. Even grandmas have downloaded the new Hank Snow album.

Maybe we'll finally get some collective and definitive FUCK YOU to the corporatocracy.

It's the subtle, secret filters and "terrorist chat rooms" that scare me. A slow takeover.

  • good point... it would definitely piss off the Call of Duty and World of Warcraft crowd.... just check out that video of that dude who went INSANE when his mom shut his World of Warcraft account and stuck a remote up his butt.

  • well if they think they can stop us they got it wrong plp will just go to the street and use the legs 1s again it will just be the 60s again with the uprising of peaceful protests and i hope not maybe more if we r not taken serious this time cause its not just the youth anymore they 4 got there plp from the 60s would grow up

  • F that, i Say burn down the homes of those who vote it in. FREE INFORMATION

  • Fuck you .|.

  • This is not about file sharing. This is about protecting the corrupt government from you.

  • block pirate websites? threaten the web? how? fuck you governement! dont take down the haven of the people! SHIT! they got us! what are we going to do? omg! dang! how will we hold our ground!? will the private companies fight against this? is this only for americans?

  • @fenix611 why would private compaines fight against it? They don't give a shit about you and they would benifit if piarte sights were destroyed.

  • Watch riots break out because the government breaks the internet lol.

  • @BPatches701 I say to the brits. Lash out against the outrage. Pirate hard on purpose. If no one has access to the internet then they will see the error in their ways.

  • they should keep that law in fucking uk ! this should not come to US !

  • thats a bunch of bullshit! next why dont you charge us for sharing air!

  • @nicwebana : They do.

  • The British are always old fashioned and non-progressive. This is another witch hunt.

  • @dbullet

Apart from inventing electricity, the railways, starting the industrial revolution .....

Very non-progressive. It's what's happened recently to a once great country that's tragic!

The country is being sold to the banks!

    Wake up UK! Peace ;-)

  • Shorten-up on the amount of time a corporation can claim copyright.

    How about 2 years?

The only surprise here is that the people don't realize that they are arguing the proof that the entire government needs to be replaced. These are only difficult problems to solve, because this is an adults-only world that is run and operated by adolescents.

Any high-school graduate could do a better job. Put the teachers in charge. Kick out the psychopaths.

  • This bill is no good. "The means of defense against foreign danger historically have become the instruments of tyranny at home." ~ James Madison

  • these people think there slick but its gonna back fire in there face fuk with my internet and il just sell my computers n cut off my internet plan n leave them broker then ever and il just go outside more offin 2 entertain myself lol

  • are they doing this for corporates / money???

  • Sounds like the UK is asking for Hackers to target their country just like how Microsoft is a virus target.

  • Only 79 pages long? Pththf.. Amateurs.

  • Mandelson (aka the Prince of Darkness) goes on a "free holiday" with media moguls.

Next the UK gets this bill pushed through - as a "thank you" for Mandelson Free Yachting holiday.

This shows how corrupt mandelson and the Labour Govt have become.

Labour are pushing a police state. They are a disgrace to the UK and to Europe.

Please write to your MP to stop this bill going through.

  • @UKSecretCourts

He goes on free anything if the deal is right (for him and his pals). He is a carreer politician of the palm greasing will do nicely school. If any of you is moderately affluent I suggest the sum of your lifetimes holiday spend is less than folks spend smoozing Peter in a single year. I would take money on my suggestion. Corfu Peter? Oh yes will there be young men?

  • Welcome to North Korea.

  • brittain is always trying to censor thier people

  • I know they want to pass the same exact bill here in the USA too.

  • The bill is only 79 pages? Well at least you know parliament actually "read" the bill

  • Piracy Is Natural. Small producers have nothing to fear, their funbase supports them. On the other Hand, why should the Rich Fucks Want more Profits? Is Shakira, and J-Lo so poor ? Is hollywood starving? Fuck them. Long live piracy.

  • Government should stay the hell off of the internet, its bad enough that they are in your house and who knows where else.

  • Thank You RT For putting up this information that dont make our TV Sets In UK

Because they like to hide it from the Sheople

    Thank You x

  • That's not putting the UK at the forefront of internet copyright. This is putting the UK at the back of the back of the pack in progressing into the new culture designed for 21st century.

  • wow brits live in the dark ages, sneaky corrupt govt.

  • Should of never let them take your guns. Now look at you... You can't even keep your internet anymore.

  • @synn1980

    Yup.

  • NWO illuminati wants to stop us from sharing the truth through internet, that's waht they want to do!

  • Our undemocratic dictatorial government will ruin the internet if we let them

  • Down load as much anti NWO videos as we can it looks like we may have to flood the streets with them.

  • F*** the lib lab con NWO bastards!

  • Seems the UK GOVERNMENT ARE IN A RUSH TO PASS EVERY BILL Behind our backs Just incase the sheep wake up suddenly OH & They will WAKE UP because people can only stand so much crap

  • elites are born from acts of pirates of past & today, yet they're against piracy? copying of a copy, making an echo from an echo. People must devalue down to nil, all the senseless junk, their plastic crap that weasels manufacture at natures expense to sell to babbling fools who consume, wear & sell poison & love it. all the egos gone wild must realize that dolls are worthless as is all plastic they vend, let 'em have the material crap back, steals freedom thru time sacrificed to idling w/ idol.

  • UK Goverment are Ignorant to the wants and needs of their population

Whats up as GORDY Got to pass the bill before he gets voted out " IS THAT WHAT ITS ALL ABOUT??? "

Does anyone know where we can get a copy of the bill please???

  • This is a bad idea.

  • You guys are f#&ked

  • ...and yet another liberty lost. New Labour voters, I hope your happy now.

  • I best hurry and download a load of blu-ray films then.

  • how is this democracy? If the people of a country are against something, then what gives the government the right to do it anyway? Issues like this irritate me - makes me want to scream!!!!! haha

  • Britain's a monarchy they just put ppl into power under the false assumption that people's votes count.

I'm canadian and I wanna throw that bitch the queen in the thames if I could

  • @jayluketa Canada is still Queensland. Old families and bankers own the U.S. too. It's all a joke.

  • @lipoicacid Yep you know it. US still pays tax to the bank of england via the IRS too.

  • @WOGI5M This seems to be common around the planet at the moment...maybe we just think its democracy.

  • @WOGI5M

Politicians are bought like prostitutes. Big business loves democractic governments. They consider them whore houses.

  • how is this democracy? If the people of a country are against something, then what gives the government the right to do it anyway? Issues like this irritate me - makes me want to scream!!!!! haha

  • the kueen bitch vvants it......people are finding out the truth about her filthy family!

  • scum corporate fucks

  • why is noone doing anything about that?

  • The Internet is the main source of info that we have that can tell us what the Illuminati is doing because TV and the media doesn't show us this, things are gonna get really bad.

  • The granting of discretionary powers is the beginning of the end of freedom on the web. But why should we bother? You can't move on the high street without being filmed! Wake up UK - the country is being turned into an open prison!!!

Break the dinosaur duopoly of Lab-Con at the May 6 general election. The political elite has proven where its loyalties lie - not with the British people!

This is probably the last chance to stop the UK plunging towards bankrupcy and corporate-fascism! Peace ;-)

  • lets hope people arent "accidentally" disconnected from the net for accessing news and media other than the government sponsored propaganda networks. an informed public is the only way to challenge the secretive apparatus of government. The net is the only way people can honestly inform themselves. That is why it is to be destroyed and controlled. Many knew this was coming. It is no surprise. Watch for talk about national service and id cards folks. The control grid expands by the hour. sigh

  • protecting the children is just a thrown out excuse to get old people to go along with it. Everyone with a brain and 2 seconds thought knows that parents and self interest are responsible for children being exposed to violent material.

  • OMG!!!!!!! The internet is about to become seriously lame!!!!!!!!!!

  • how u protecting kids they gna go buy it frm a shop ull av to stop music n films sum of us r skint n cnt afford cds at a tenner a pop u arsholes

  • yep - no surprises here.

the elder and middle-aged "traditionally-minded" run of the mill politicians and MP's do not fully comprehend the implications and sinister backdoor tactics of this bill.

the internet is the most powerful force on earth right now - its brings people together,, and allows us to bypass controlled and centralised media (newspapers, tv etc.) and it is proving a MAJOR problem for the establishment e,g, the Iraq killing video just released!).

    but, what can we do?

  • @awhodatt democratic politics are a joke today - for the ideology of this world has changed so much in the past decade that the young people (future) is now stick with backward and stagnant thinking representatives making policies and laws on their behalf.

when we see events like this of such fundamentally important legislation being rushed through the debate / voting process this point is driven home even stronger.

btw, this catalyst for this aciton is NOT the music / movie industry!

    wake up!

  • @awhodatt

Democratic politics in the UK is a dinosaur duopoly!

It is time to throw these self-serving slimeballs out of the Mother of Parliaments.

Freedom, dignity and democracy for the UK!

Vote Lib Dem, vote UKIP, vote BNP for all I care. The current system stinks to the core. Politicians only serve their constituencies when they are out on their arses!!!

The best hope is a hung Parliament and the introduction of Proportional Representation.

    Peace ;-)

  • @awhodatt

    what can we do?

Vote out the dinosaur duopoly of Lab-Con! The political elite have long ceased to serve anyone but themselves! Smash the bogus left-right paradigm. There are lots of worthy independetn and free thinking candidates ready to take up the mantle of a newly born free society!!! Wake up UK! Peace ;-)

  • @sirshaneyboy Well put. Co-sign.

  • Does seem a bit much. And how about parents being held responsible for protecting their children? I expect this here in the states but UK what are you doing? Joining us down the road of lowest common denominator looks like.

  • I smell a Bilderberg at work in this, they have wanted to shut off the net for a while. and i saw an article that they would arrest people if you even had a single illegal file on your laptop. it just their excuse to turn off the net they dont give 2 shits if lil kids are dl bad games lmao. besides i think they allowed music piracy simply so that a day like this can come n then they use piracy as an excuse to shut off the net. smart people these illuminati are. New world order is here!

  • money money money. Scott (BUG) it's bs

  • trying to turn britain into fucking china now? if my net gets cut off i'm going to raise hell and burn the fuckers as much as i can

  • Orwell warned up about his country. He was just off by 20 years.

  • Internet is our evolutionairy force, it helps people evolve for the good. We have massive information at our disposal.

Internet is a inate human right and no fuckign coorporation should be able to fidle with it.

In an all sane world the internet would immediatly be guarded against such stupid ideas and laws would be put into place to keep the internet as it is. But in our shizophrenic world its all fucked.

  • internet 2 will be ushered in soon and there is nothing we can do to stop it....its bullshit, they dont want information about theyre corrupt ass agenda out in the open

  • hmmm yes to protect the children, wink

  • "children getting violent video games."

oh come on... enough with thaat bullshit already

  • quick, pirate everything before they shut the internet down.

  • @mephesh hahaa your funny you made me laugh but good idea lmao

  • well, if it passes, we all just plain and simple have to STOP buying anything in the store.. No cd's NO games etc.... real simple solution, but do people want to stand for a cause when it involves them personally ? I thnk not !

  • piracy ftw!

  • they can push up petrol water gas and electricity prices which you have to pay for and now they want to do the same with internet films and music, the wash up being undemocratic the EU being undemocratic, gordon brown not elected as prime minister and in the event of a hung parliament must stay on. where is this democracy they keep mentioning?

  • All I want to know is what companies are buying those politicians. The only possible reason for their caring about this is due to a handful a giant corporations that are paying them huge dollars behind the scenes. Why else would they back these corps?

  • resist the nwo

  • but what they want. if any software or music or game price is too high. check the prices and how to gain or atract people to buy stuff legal.

  • The fact that they're rushing it through proves that they have ulterior motives.

Some bills can take years of debate.

Yet this bill, something which is going to restrict people's rights gets rushed through in a matter of minutes.

Something fishy is going on. Again.

  • @ZKY2 I AGREE WITH YOU TOTALLY its not about music ITS TO STOP People finding out the rel truths

  • @ZKY2 An extremely valid point. Why such a hurry?

    I think we can guess.

  • @ZKY2

    I fully support the bill.

Will there be public book burnings too?

Looking forward to the bright future.

  • This has nothing to do with copyright and anybody with half a brain cell should realise this fact. This is about taking control of the net and providing people with a service that suits Government. The digital economy bill is just the framework being put in place for future secondary legislation to added without knowledge, debate or consultation at a later date. These people are lying to us and they know it. Bullshit statutes to keep the filth sat on top of thier figurative ivory towers.

  • @poodle559 i totally agree with you

  • They are already doing this, bandwidth throttling, corruption of operating systems, resets and link not found, theyre trying to make their actions legal before someone gets the evidence against them. We are going the same way as China

  • UK is the cutting edge of NWO scum, not a cutting edge of 'digital economy'. BTW so called 'digital economy' is nothing more than distraction, a fake, non-intrinsic substance. Economies built around virtual services are collapsing all around us. Internet is merely a vehicle for real economy which is drilling and digging, not consuming digital crap. This bill is nothing more than an attempt to get excuse to cut off the internet and take control over it in coming turbulent times.
