You need to do the right steps to get a high rank, but CLEARLY the step machine is for coordinated moves to have fun in it dancing. If the producers didn't want them to dance, they would put a hand control instead.

Just to let you know, xabuabux, the guy is doing something called "freestyling", where you basically choreograph your own dance moves to the steps. (There used to be huge competitions for this!) So, the point is to choreograph an awesome dance rather than getting A+ on the hardest mode. It makes DDR/PIU players more interesting to watch... and it's quite refreshing to watch compared to the players who bar-rape to get A+ on the game's hardest mode.

well im not sure. theres a lot of reason people play pump. whether its to give your legs a workout, lose weight, showoff or just have fun. i actually started pump in 6th grade because i was very chubby then and i gotta say, pump it up actually helped a lot. its like losing weight and having fun at the same time.
