@goodygoody23 . of course his 4 billion notes per second produces such a high frequency that we mere mortals can't hear it. He's lucky he realized he had to slow himself down otherwise the audience would have been vaporized...dead people are no good for album sales.
Guys, how does he get the 'fade in' sort of effect at 1:08. Looks pretty simple, but what is the actual technique?...thanks guys...I really want to try this...
@TheAlphafly I think it helped that it was Liquid Tension and not like Dream Theater; just a smaller gig. Just the fact that Petrucci was able to talk casually to the crowd. And I mean what can he really do if his rig suddenly goes down. I'm sure people understand lol
Unlimited energy sources are out there! But a few ppl make too many billions from our energy needs to let this technology be known,if you want a real Free energy Magnet Motor, get the blueprints at LT-MAGNET-MOTORdotCOM ,Let the revolution begin!
I'm here to talk about the existence of a brand new musical experience called Idaea. The influence ranges from Planet X, Meshuggah, Dream Theater, Chick Corea to Contemporany and Experimental music. It would be really cool if you visited our myspace and added coments, thoughts and opinions!:
Its not broken... his 4 billion notes per second produces such a high frequency that we mere mortals can't hear it. He's lucky he realized he had to slow himself down otherwise the audience would have been vaporized...dead people are no good for album sales.
Obviously the guitar wasn't used to being raped/shredded upon at speeds surpassing the speed of light. Needed a bit of warming up. To 9000* celcius. Luckily the crowd had a few moments to prepare for Killzone mode, approx half of the survivors managed to crawl out to safety after the concert finish
No no the guitar was simply afraid of the 4 thousand notes per second beating it was about to get from John in killzone mode. The pickups failed from fright. And the amp was freaking out a little too having to voice each of those notes
This isn't Dream Theater even though 3/4 of the band are in D.T. That's Tony Levin playing the stick, although John Myung does also play Chapman Stick
the thing is, someone stupid enough changed his special guitar forged in pure steel-gold-adamantium with diamond frets with some other human guitar, therefore the first 10 million notes he played in a sec totally smoked that poor guitar
Haha, yeah, as a guitar player I hate that lol. Cuz it's so instinctive that even when we are discussing something, our drummer will count off when he has that drummer ADD kick in and we don't get much business done... but lots of playing!
We never do stuff like that. When we are on stage it's just that we know what we are doing on our part and timing. It's a bunch of human metronomes... I don't think we even notice each other haha.
Then again in practice its all bouncing off everyone over and over so I guess it goes both ways.
I think it works differently for every band. Usually, my band take their cue from the songwriter of particular song we're playing, as the tempo is firmer in that person's head than the rest. That said, it always seems to come back to the drummer to make sure that the pulse is secure. Interesting stuff...
well we are laying on the lead instrument, usually is the piano, and both piano and drums lead the all things, as drummer i had hard time until our guitarist get in this type of thinking.
ohh hhohohoho ibanez just simply couldnt handle jp's fingers melting the circuits from within. that why he had to switch to music man because ibanez simply couldnt make a guitar that withstands the temperature of the sun
And the world has yet to make a guitar capable of handling a petrucci solo. When will they learn his guitars can only be constructed of pure bolts of lightning thrown by zeuss himself.
this was on purpose. too many fans were in denial that petrucci was actually human, so he was like "i better make a 'mistake' and they'll all be fooled". he then laughed maniacally in his head, then threw off the current in his equipment with his mind.
DT just decided not to add acid rain to instrumedley, it's as simple as that. It might be in some other medley, but they just didn't use it for Instrumedley
LTE and Dream theater are the one of the best band ever, and Rationallity is right, even if they are the same writters, and still music style is different...
But thats not all, the inclusion of Levin and the ausecence of Myung and Labrie make LTE music with Levin writting style within Myung and Labrie writting style.
