Its not broken... his 4 billion notes per second produces such a high frequency that we mere mortals can't hear it. He's lucky he realized he had to slow himself down otherwise the audience would have been vaporized...dead people are no good for album sales.

Obviously the guitar wasn't used to being raped/shredded upon at speeds surpassing the speed of light. Needed a bit of warming up. To 9000* celcius. Luckily the crowd had a few moments to prepare for Killzone mode, approx half of the survivors managed to crawl out to safety after the concert finish

Then again in practice its all bouncing off everyone over and over so I guess it goes both ways.

I think it works differently for every band. Usually, my band take their cue from the songwriter of particular song we're playing, as the tempo is firmer in that person's head than the rest. That said, it always seems to come back to the drummer to make sure that the pulse is secure. Interesting stuff...

When Portnoy was starting the project he wanted to make it as separate as possible from DT. The only reason Petrucci joined is because he couldn't get dimebag(no complaints here!), and Rudess joined the band after LTE.

With Myung in LTE it would basically be DT sans-LaBrie.
