I've crashed my iphone 3gsnew boot rom by upgrading it to 4.2.1 and changed my base band to 6.15. using redsn0w. I can't go out of recovery mode. use fuzzyband in cydia, it downgrades baseband 6.15 to unlock compatible 5.14.12 that can restore normally...released about a week ago :)

for who ppl got stuck in the middle of the recovery mode, and could not exit even with tiny umbrella, iREB or some other programs around, i would suggest to use tiny umbrella to exit the recovery mode, but it wont exit completely. try to restore it from 4.2.1 and it will shows you the error 3196 or something, then use tiny umbrella to exit it and restore it to 4.0.1 and will still give you 1015 errors, and that time you will notice the itune icon switched from new itune logo to old itune logo

bricked my phone manhy times but for some reason i was able to get out of it by using these steps{i think}--- get tiny umbrella to kick it out of {brick mode}

u could also restore ur firmware to 3.1.3 ONLY IF U HAD SAVED UR SHSH FILES if u haven't then fuck it don't even bother with this.....

i did alot of trial and errors with this thing guys, just be patient & prepare to stare at ur phone for hrs.
