@eliasz0002 It didn't. They strayed waaaaaaayyyy away from the original comic books. The vampires are actually zombies and there are no "band of priest warriors". Oh and did I mention that the main character is originally DEMON POSSESSED? Couldn't have been worse but this movie has nothing to do with the original PRIEST series.

@YunSeung Spider-man, Batman, Transformers, X-Men, Harry Potter; all of them were missing a few things that were originally in the novels or are just plain different from their novels... basically, i don't know anything about the "Priest" comic book but i wouldn't be surprised if the comic book was better. I prefer reading the novels over movies most of the time (but i do watch the movies of course). BTW, this movie really did suck.

@coolcrooger Oh I know that those movies have a few elements missing. HOWEVER, Priest has the entire series missing (and their points and kooks which made it unique), including the main character. They completely changed every single element of the entire series. The only thing that is accurate is the fact that there are priest in the series, and the fact that it is somewhat spaghetti western. There are no Sci-fi elements in the series (at least not to this scale). It's TOO different.

@YunSeung maybe the directors wanted to stray the movie away from the comic books(although i kind of doubt that because of that cartoony thing that was going on in the beginning) or maybe made up the story themselves. whatever the reason, they still failed at making a good movie. Btw, whoever paid for this movie or even watched it on bootleg, i have sympathy for all of you. Waste of damn time. So, whoever is still planning to watch it on bootleg or when it comes out on DVD...don't. just don't

These days, it seems like you want a supernatural creature, bad or good, it's gotta be a Vampire or a Werewolf. It just seems single-minded to me.  I'd blame Twinlight, but I don't consider what they have real Werewolves or Vampires, more like Elves and Shapechangers. Plus, it was on the rise before Twilight. I'd just like to see something else. Gimme some Lovecraftian evil for sure!

I would blame twilight too -- but i think it's the total out of control fans that are to blame. Like, i take it in as just another romeo/juliet romance with a twist of fantasy. Yet the fans make such a huge deal about it and they made a different view on vamps/werewolves(gorgeous guys/girls). It's a good book/movie in the way of romance....but it's not good in the way they present the amazing horror creatures we once knew - i guess that's why people hate it so much.
