  • nice,,, hope you like your aspen??? i see on your 530 you where flying Direct...do you fly that way all the time???? garmin recommends flying by flight plan,,, with the direct flight,,,it is not a straight line from where you are to where you want to be,,, so in theory with the direct flight,, someone could fly around forever and not get there lol

  • Thanks for the Video. I am doing a 650 and an aspen as we speak, with an stec 60-2

seeing your in action makes me confident I made the right choice. I am also a 1977 m20j driver

  • @cfdbc - Congrats! I had considered doing an MFD this year but that 34 year old interior needed some love. Actually, it's getting a whole lot of love. I pick it up tomorrow. Aero Comfort down at KSAT is doing the job.

  • Thanks! Yes...spayne59, mine is a 77 201. First year of manufacture. The 530 is great. don't settle for a 430. I'm 51 and love the big screen. With both the Aspen and the install of the Garmin gear, only one issue. He could not mount the center stack as high as he wanted due to structural tube.

The garmin and the aspen play great together. Highly recommend shop at MKO. Ask for Nate. Great tech...

No autopilot so can't speak to that.

  • After flying behind so so radios for 20+ years, it's the panel I've always wanted.. thanks for watching!

I own a 1985 M20J - I'm guessing yours is similar vintage. I'm considering a 530 + Aspen upgrade. Can you tell me about the details of what you've done, what problems you faced, and the connectivity of your autopilot to the the Garmin 530 and King KX155 for nav coupling to the A/P?
