  • I'm from the Boston area never heard of this one lol what was the shadow doing? Pushing people off their bikes !! Lmao I love these guys

  • I'm from Boston... and I am not aware of this shadow pushing people off of bikes.

  • hAHAAAAA HAAAAHHAAA IT WAS pushing people of their bikes oh flip thats funny

  • "What did it do? What did it do? What did the shadow do?....

"It was pushin people, off their bikes" LOL xD

  • All the conversations these three have, are like a typical British back of the classroom at school.

  • I LOVE DJ SHADOW !

  • Boston

  • Ricky's laugh gets me every time

  • Ricks impersonation of americans sounds like tom hanks in forrest gump.

  • hahaha steve 'promise me you'll never have kids.' :')

  • This is stunning. 'theres a shadow somewhere' Never has a story started so brilliantly. First time I heard this I collapsed on the floor. My chest was burning 'THIS was on THE INTERNET!!' Every line is hilarious!! 'It was pushing off their bikes' hahahahaha so absurd but so bloody funny. How does he find this crap on the internet? I mean how many sites does he trawl through to come across shit like this?? Half Genius half idiot!!

  • There's a shadow somewhere...

  • First it's "in Boston" then it's in "a small town" - I wonder if Karl thinks Boston is a state? (And then of course Ricky's accent moves us ambiguously southward... heh). One of the best Karl tales though. Short, sweet, and fucking insane.

  • @feelthejoy i think he said Austin.

  • 'wots thot' oh britons

  • Oh sorry, sorry! I thought it was SHITE! xD

  • He tells the whole story SO earnestly. Love 'im.

  • please never have children lmfao

  • Fucking comments still... didn't ruin it! ROFL

  • I love how Ricky says "Sorry i thought it was Shite" cracks me up everytime i hear it.

  • How do you see a shadow walking around at night? O_o

  • I'm pretty sure he's talking about the Mothman.

  • @Lacuervo It's so fun to guess what Karl might be talking about. He'll hear about something like the mothman, and his brain will filter it into a shadow in Boston that pushed people off their bikes.

  • @corwinorr he heard scientists had cloned a mamoth and thought that ricky said man moth meaning half man half moth.

  • whenever Karl is lying his ass off the story always takes place in america. We don't need this reputation Karl.

  • @ERSDAX Actually Karl isn't lying because although the story is rubbish, he actually thinks it is true. Lying is when you know it's not true but say it anyway. But yeah he probably isn't helping your reputation, lol

  • "There is a shadow somewhere...." LMAO what a start!

  • The Shadow knows....ha..hahahaha..hahahahahahaha!

  • haha, 'THIS was on the internet!'

  • @redwing104 I love when Karl's stories include the word "internet"

  • Ricky Gervais' laughter is so contagious!

  • hahaha

  • that shadow wants locking up

  • "Promise me that you'll never have kids" LMFAO

  • Hey mayor... we got a problem down here, it seems like a shadow. LOL the accent is sooo funny

  • DJ Shadow ?!?

  • hahahahahaha

  • OMG, theres a shadow behind me RIGHT NOW!!!!

  • whenever brits imitate americans they do a southern hick accent

  • Comment removed

  • @MrJungleland1 No they dont, they always sound like a chimney sweep circa 1910, or Dick Van Dyke, whichever's easier.

  • @danagarro when ever american's imitate brits they do a posh accent with scones and tea :)

I'd like to say were even.

  • @Vivithewhite haha true...

  • why have they not gotten this on the animated podcast yet

  • i had to listen twice to make sure he said "it was pushing them off their bikes"

  • Kark

  • KP: "There's a shadow somewhere....."

Everyone: "This is going to be amazing!"

  • Comment removed

  • Is this town called Innsmouth, by any chance? ...because it had some kind of shadow over it, didn't it?

  • @2hakkabakka You've been reading too many books.

  • Comment removed

  • So fucking hilarious!

  • Its kind of ironic people are having such deep arguements...on a karl pilkington video

  • Can someone please tell me what podcast this is from.. I thought I'd heard um all :O

  • @stromzo06 Well... It's kind of hard to see them all as there is like 4 years of episodes.

  • @stromzo06 I think its from the show called The Ricky Gervais Show and im going to buy it next week :-D And theres two seasons!!

  • Karl's talking about the "grinning man" isn't he?

He always was rather harmless but he would show up around the same times as catastrophes or strange happenings. He would also sometimes appear in roads and make people swerve off the side. As such he was sometimes associated with the disasters, but he never actually did much more than watch people and try to communicate telepathically.

That's all I can remember, really. But he was said to be very tall and very dark with an inhumanly wide grin.

  • i think Karl is talking about a spirit apparition. it is a ghost

  • This story is so funny because it is the epitomy of magical thinking. The primary premise, "There was a shadow somewhere," is so vague and idiotic, and yet everything that flows from that premise IS SHOCKINGLY SPECIFIC...Boston...Mayor...pushing people off bicycles... lol. I wish people laughed at this kind of thinking in all areas of their lives. Sadly, they don't--especially if the specifics are fun to believe, comforting, or allow you to believe you can hurt people you don't like.

  • one of my favourite clips.

  • yeah, we've got a bit of knob news.

  • Gervais is a bully!! Treats the man like shite and always puts him down

  • @healyice

OMFG get a fucking sense of humor. the things Karl says are the ramblings of an orange headed retard........but their hillarious......and so are Gervais's put downs.....their friends, it's just a couple of mate's ripping on another mate, it's all in good taste.

  • FUCKING BRILLIANT......

  • Yea its a bit weird but its not harming anyone

  • Ricky, shuttup.

  • Shadow stole mah bike!

  • omg this is my favorite animated show ever...somehow I dont think itd b as good with the real ppl but I love it!!!

  • "There's a shadow somewhere..."

LOL the best opening to a story ever!!!

  • 6 People have been pushed of there bikes in boston XD

  • 1:00 ricky sonds soo camp even if i do say soo myself.

  • @MissEyelashWisher Im english, but americans spelling is just *hilarious, you really must have a great sense of *humour. you dumb twat.

  • Comment removed

  • @loolooxxlolx I was just complimenting a video. I'm not dumb, I just suck at spelling. You should find a better use of your time then being rude to people for no reason at all. Back off.

  • @MissEyelashWisher Dont be surprised. English are like that, rude, crude and bigotted. Been living in London for waaaaay too long...

  • @malakispanien Don't tar us all with the same brush. English generally are polite, well mannered and open minded. In fact, by saying that it's showing your own rudeness and closed mindedness. Obviously you've been 'infected' by the rude, crude and bigotted English....

  • @ear4rgjb No, it isn't showing my own rudeness as it is ok to be rude to the rude ones. I think if you had been clever enough you would've figured that one out... Unless you are blinded by the ineffectual, superfluous political corectness through the centuries of emotional repression. Clearly, you must be a representative of, to quote Billy Connolly - ''beigests of the middleclass, who fucked the whole thing up''. Feel sorry for you. Rarely.

  • @malakispanien How is it ok? If everyone was rude all the time, even to rude folk, then we end up with a world full of wankers. You are just anti-English and you are a hypocrite. And what does the PC culture have to do with being rude? Nothing is the answer. You are just trying to sound clever on youtube and it fools no one. And if you don't like the English, why don't you move? I hear Misrata is good this time of year

  • @ear4rgjb ...much as i would love to move i simply cannot, for, there are two things that literally keep me here. Namely, the bril comedy and loose women. The two things that you are really famous for. Otherwise, this iseland should be plaughed and car park should be made for the rest of the Europe.

  • @malakispanien Given that you are on here trolling and trying to impress kiddies with 'clever' comments I very much doubt you are taking advantage of the alleged loose women. You wear an anorak and hang around play parks right? And you also have a cute little puppy with you?

Actually don't bother answering because I won't reply to anymore of your idiotic comments because you are obviously a cunt

  • @ear4rgjb Ouuch!! My comments must've hurt. I gather, your intellectual ineptitude has finally outweighed your literacy talents. To answer your question, I have no a puppy but an online entertainment, called - ear4rgjb. To realise what cesspit it is in, it would have to get its head out of its backside... But that will never happen, to much my joy...

  • @malakispanien no mate im sorry but you are a cunt...two people can obviously see that by your comments.

  • @malakispanien Well fuck off home then!

  • @SirPimpafizzle a way to be an english idiot. Typical!

  • @SirPimpafizzle well said..hes a cunt

  • @malakispanien if you want to see england and english people DONT live in london!

  • @kirkybatley Apart from 1 in every 5 of English people do live in London.!

  • @cuntylishus where do you get them facts from? the population of engand may be somewhere near 1 in 5 but the percentage of english people in london is nothing near that!

  • @kirkybatley UK pop. = 60m; England pop. = 50m London pop. = 7.5m

OK, so it's one in every 6.6 people, but it's still lots! Or are you being racist and claiming that the asians and other 'darkies' with British passports who grew up in London aren't English??? Read the Daily Mail much?

  • @cuntylishus Just because you have a british passport and grew up here shouldn't make you "English".

If you have 2 african parents that are black and they come over here and have a kid together, that kid is not all of a sudden English just because he's born here. You're black mate, you're african.

  • @harper16 ehh, don't want to butt into a racist argument but all that being english means is that you were born on the dirt and earth that is called england. It does not influence the way you look, feel, think, or any of your beliefs.

  • @TheJoker434 The society you grow up in (for a majority of people) is the dominant factor in forming your views, tastes and beliefs. Everyone to an extent is a product of their enviroment, it's just human nature. To state otherwise is simply ridiculous. Of course first generation immigrants are not English, but if their offspring were born and raised in England, that would make them English. Skin colur is not indicative of nationallity. Using your logic Barak Obama is not American.

  • @TheJoker434 Argument's too simple, isn't it?

On that 'dirt and earth' are people. Those people form a nation, and a society, which is where humans get most of their thoughts and beliefs. And in those people are genes, which is where we get our looks. Two Brits (Anglo-Saxons) don't just have a Chinese (ethnicity, not nationality) baby, now do they? Not many Jewish babies are born to Anglican parents, either.

I know what you mean, but let's not totally deny the existence of nation-states here.

  • @TomBerishaj ok, i make one comment, and suddenly the whole KKK are mailing me. The fact you all use big words and long thought out essays isn't really effective since most of u r sitting in ur pants. Race does not mean anything to me, and i don't care if it does to u.

  • @TheJoker434 KKK comment is a bit much, isn't it?

I don't mean that race 'means' anything either, only that your comment was far too dismissive of the notion of environment. It is huge in the development of the mind, which is

where people get their thoughts, beliefs, etc.

It's not that hard to follow, really. If I were Hindu, I wouldn't eat beef. Seems pretty simple; no need for 'big words'.

Also, what does "u r sitting in ur pants" mean? I can't begin to understand what you want to say.

  • @TheJoker434 So contrary to hundreds of years of documented science you reckon a person's environment doesn't influence them ... Well it's not gonna be the next democracy or anything, but good luck with that idea anyway

  • @cuntylishus my best friends black. no im stating that in london there are more foreigners than english people. a lot more! ask them what there nationality is and you can bet it wont be english!

  • @MissEyelashWisher

don't mind him, lots of people on the internet is general are rude like that..

  • Karl has discovered the internet? God help us!

And I thought I'd never see the day that this simple life form would be able to grasp and make use of modern technology!
