  • magnific her voice, her performance, just great!!!! I adore her.

  • hate opera....but love that girl../)

  • @ LazlosPlane & Heartlessiceboy: did you happen to attend to the Met's production of Les contes last December? That was something creative but at the same time traditional, for me, at least. What did you think of it?

  • I saw HD broadcast. I agree: nice, bit nopthing special. Alan Held and Kate Lindsey were great.

  • Agree with that. Held was an excellent bad guy; and I didn't know Lindsey before that day, but now I'm eagerly waiting for her Amelia in May!

  • tecnicamente deficiente y de dudoso gusto estetico...

  • That "Louise Brooks" haircut just gets my blood boiling. Not to mention uh.. her... um... voice! That's it, voice.

  • Exactly, Louise! But I love Patricia in every role.

  • Yes Rosie, it's certainly very ravishing. Phwoar! Mind you, I think it's a bit silly that she has to wear a body-snatcher ankle sock. From where the audience are she may as well be starkers.

  • c'était vraiment nècéssaire de faire du nu , meme avec une seconde peau ?

sa seule voix suffisait à etre admirée

c'est mon opinion ... à chacun ses gouts

  • elle est courageuse moi j'aurais pas osé

  • Patricia Petibon is the perfect example of the new generation of opera singers

a proper classical vocal tachnique combined with a willing to do new a creative things that's what makes opera envolve and be timeless

how boring are the singers who are obssesed to only do old school and the public(mainly old people)who refuses to see anything new.

  • You're absolutely right, I just wonder how creative it is to sing nude. Not very, really.

Personally, I'm sick of the excuse or explanation of doing silly, rather immature things in theater or opera by "trying something new."

Um, I hate to break it to you guys but the way things have been done has worked rather well for several hundred years.

All of a sudden, we're bored?

    Nonsense.

  • I'm sorry but I'm not agree with you, everything in life needs evolution...Opera too!

The thing is that with all the conservative people who want's to see "Old fashioned" productions all the young people get the wrong idea that opera is something boring, something for grandparents or even worst that Sarah Brightman or Il Divo are real opera singers(actually all this crossover phony opera singers get popularity because they are doing something new even that they can't sing at all)

  • And I'm sorry but I as 24 years old opera singer can say that opera seems to be diying since a long time ago.A suddenly you don't even know if you ever going to get the chance to sing like in an important stage in a few years cause maybe in a few years all the opera stages are going to be for Sarah Brightman(but she is old too) or for Paris Hilton!

anyway Is very different to do a "weird" production of a well know opera

  • with a good orchestra and profesional opera singers like Patricia Petibon that put Miss Brightman or Josh Groban triying to sing something like opera-pop-techno-studio enhanced-Mozart revolving in his grave-shit.

So that is why opera like everything in life need a little renovation

  • When I make sense of your peurile ramblings I'll be sure to get back to you.

  • she is not naked, look closely at her arm in 2:44, is that normal?. it is a one piece costume from her neck to her ankles. she's really good in this aria, one of my favourites
