@KiptaviusFuzz actually, I think he uses acrylic nails... and unfortunately acrylic nails lift, near the nail bed, after a few days... that's the only downside to using them for steel string. I think the little space left by the acrylic lifting off his nail caught on the string. It used to happen to me all the time, but now I superglue it down if it lifts LOL.

I should mention that all the fast runs he plays better than on his rpoland video. This is Don Ross at his best!

gave it a try, yea...you're right. he's really anal about his tuning too (the curse of perfect pitch?) and adjusts mid song. o course, this song has really tight tuning...so i imagine it comes out easy.
