@sunnygirly2k4 Well, basically everyone HAS whistle register, it's just sometimes harder to access for others. I for example during winter and fall have this sort of 'on/off' switch that happens at random where I can whistle REALLY well (about 10 minutes ago I hit the highest note of this song), as opposed to last week where I could barely sing a high C. Go figure.

I think so too, because the lightning (brightness) and tones of the singers skin don't match the piano players' at all.....

I think the singer originally sang in front of a green-screen and then was "pasted" into the piano players' video.

@Raimundo91 Sorry, it's not green screen. Just split down the middle and stitched together. Just behind his back on the piano I think. The curtains show a slight difference in lighting. Very nicely done though. Not half as good as his amazing voice. No sign of any join between his tenor, falsetto and whistle registers. Total control!

@iam0wenn whistle is not a falsetto man, you're destroying your vocal cords if you attempt it again. The clue to how to do a whistle is to know how to create a whistle note. Clue: similar to how you whistle through your lips, you have to make the vocal folds exactly the same and allow air to rapidly pass through it quickly.

@gwk326 Whistle tone...it's like Mariah said once 'I use the part most people don't use- the very top', referring to the vocal cords. It's a REALLY hard thing to explain and do right, but it can be taught. Just...with difficulty...basically it's like only using a very specific and HIGHLY relaxed vocal method that gets the top of the vocal cords JUST right. I personally can't sing any higher than a G7, and it's a C7 on most days, but that's because everyone's voice is different.

There not whistles guys! There notes, verh high notes. And to ask him to do some Lady Gaga is JUST an insult, shes a great entertainer... BUT... NOT in the SAME catigory as Mariah. Mariah is FAR FAR FAR past GaGa in the sense she can actually sing notes effortlessly and beautifuly, and so can Lopez.

He has a tenor tessitura, but a high extension with whistle register. So it's kind of weird that he sings in the tenor range but just goes up into whistle register...I don't know how you can make that musical without detracting from the melody?
