@Onlyfu. I am talking about the true Japanese folklore. I'm not talking about the game. It is the creators of the game whom of which are spreading misinformation about Shiranui. Shiranui is another form of Amaterasu from a past age. Amaterasu Oomikami is a reincarnation of Shiranui. So therefore my facts stands as is. This is a good game but the information provided for this folklore game is false. I happen to know some Shinto priests who'd tell you the same as I just did.

Bugs me how in Okamiden they referred to Shiranui as male. I was like, "Shiranui's a dude?" Because I always thought Shiranui was female, myself. lol.

what true form??

did amaterasu just possessed a statue of shiranui, or they are really the same thing?

one scroll in the travel guide says that all creation originated in the north..?

did anyone notice that himiko died?

and who is shiranui, where was she born? is she a god?

@m1k30r The "true form" as in Ammy with her crimson markings. Ammy looks like a simple white wolf to ordinary mortals.

@m1k30r ok the first question most people see ammy as just a white wolf because hardly any people believe in the gods anymore thus weakening their power and ammy's you see ammys true form is the form with the crimson shading and since waka knows the gods are their he can see her true form

Nobody believes in the Gods anymore, so most people just see ammy as a white wolf. But, since waka is *SPOILER* a celestial, he can see her true form.

Ammy is shiranui, just the resurrected form of him.

All creation originated in the north... it COULD be because the celestial plain is in the land of Kamui, to the far north. It's not definite, but it seems a viable idea.

Shiranui is the 100 year old ammy, who killed the real orochi with Nagi. She is a god

I would always thought that Shiranui sacrificed herself to save Ammy because of what Amaterasu had done to defeat Orochi, alongside Nagi in the past. She returned the favour by helping her out to defeat one of the robotic owls, Lechku

Some may think she's self centered, saving her 100 year old self, but she did it because she KNEW that orochi would return, and bring darkness upon the world, and she just couldn't let that happen, in her last breath, she knew she would come back, and let go.

There are several tracks on Okami that can nearly move me to tears, this is one of them. I always associate this one better with Shiranui than with Kushinada. It's just that she dies a hero and despite knowing she will, just bravely moves on.

@Celine0girl1 Yes, It's called Okamiden, you should probably look it up on a search engine. However, it's not made by the same people (Clover studios disbanded). It seems alright, but don't expect the deepness of the first one. I think I'll enjoy it, but not as much. I'll just have to wait and see, though, if it still carries messages. That's what made Okami really worthwhile for me, and I sure hope the sequel has not left them out.
