I can't remember the name of the place but there was a chicken factory in Ireland that was going to be closed and thousands laid off but then another company stepped in and bought it to produce Halal chickens.
And also, Halal produce, and Halal only stores and resturants are now common place over here so (unfortunately) they probably will become more common in Ireland too.

just a few weeks ago, here in UK, the police sent out some leaflets about the neighbourhood watch scheme and on it was a cartoon picture of a dog. the council recieved hundreds of complaints by muslims-who see the dog as dirty- for having such a picture put through their doors so the council banned it.
The muslims have also had it made illigal to take dogs onto buses in many areas in Britain.
