i got stuck on the spacejump spider boss for ages thru this game....then i tried to do it that many times that when i finally got past it and ridley...i was awesome at this game beat this boss the first time round hahah :D

@djicoubiti What do you mean? The monster form took only two shots because I shot it while it was jumping. The damage done by the beam depends on how long it stays inside the enemy. Since I shot up when it jumped, the beam stayed inside it much longer, thus killing it instantly.

My Phillips Dual Shock USB PC Controller sucks, and I know like, this isn't a forum or anything, but what I want to do is use my Wii Remote+Classic Controller plugged into it, picked up through my little Blu-Tooth USB dongle, added to Devices & Printers and then (this is where I get stuck) assign the buttons from the classic controller, with it's smooth Nintendo, made for fast action, not bulky and cumbersome.. assign the button mapping in the VirtualBoy Advance on the PC.. is it possible?

I beat this game in about 4 hours with 40% completion. I was surprised I could do it. First Metroid game I ever beat. every time the SA-X killed me, I was like, "FU*K YOU! DIE ALREADY!"

a good idea for all emulators. buy a PS3 controller. they connect to your computer through USB. then you use a simple program called "Mr.T's PS3 Controller Connector" to connect it. install it and have the controller plugged in. then open connect.exe. then press the button in the center of the PS3 controller. then open the emulator, and reconfig the button set up. one of the easiest emulator controllers available :D

that way you won't end up getting hit, and blaming it on emulator control :-P

Sorry but don't trust this video it'smissleading, He beat Her first form in 6 hits, On my game it takes like 15 and you can't charge your beam up that fast and fire it that early. Also when you freeze her she thaws in like 2 seconds and screws into you taking like 2 tanks off your health. The second form took me another 10 charged shots and here he shoots it twice. Its good your showing us how to beat it but it takes far more damage than that.

I assure you with all honesty that no cheats were used in this video. The reason the beam does so much damage is because, with the SA-X being frozen, the beam hits it about three or four times since it doesn't jump back. I also just mastered the timing of the charge beam to shoot it at the fastest speed possible

Also, it took about 10 takes to do this without messing up =P

@scurvyelbow haha, wow. i got the game on my 9th birthday and i beat it in like 2 weeks after i gave up trying and just got the damn strategy guide. sometimes i would play games for months without beating them and then getting the strategy guide and finishing in less than an hour or 2. crazy, i was horrible at games. now all the games are so fucking easy, and then if you put it at hard or veteran, you have to know your shit. you can't just have a challenging game, its either EASY or FUCKING HARD

Missiles will not hurt the first form, but they will freeze her for a short time. Missiles will hurt the core-X, though.

I tried this freezing method and it didn't work that well. I couldn't time the missile close enough after the charge beam. What I like to do is shoot it then put my second jump before the apex of the first so I can jump over SA-X's jump.

Actually, it takes no timing; when you press R after your beam is charged, it will fire by itself, and you're free to shoot a missile immediately after. Rinse/Repeat.

There's a way to safely kill the second form just jump to the door you went to to start the fight. SA-X will go on the platform below you and jump up and down hopelessly trying to get at you allyou have to do is shoot down at it when it jumps.
