If he hadn't juggled it he would have been in bounds but because of that he didn't have possession long enough so it is OOB and incomplete. It was close but the officials were correct. But if you really want to get technical you should consider the pass they clearly intercepted a few plays earlier and the Aggie should have fallen down but he tried a lateral that turned out into a fumble that UT recovered. That was worse because the Aggies had it clearly.
1963 t-sips were declared champs after a 2-6-1 A&M team handed them their heads. The stripe shirts had to pull it out for them–this was not the only bad call that favored the 'sips. This is from about 1:20 min. left in the game. After the INT was declared invalid by the press guy and the corrupt ref., the sips went on for the "winning" touchdown. I was in the stands, in-line with the end zone line. I saw what is in this video. He had the ball inbounds. Score: A&M 13, t.u. 9, refs 6.
catch or not. it was simply a bad throw by the qb. and nearly blowing a game like that with the nc on the line means texas did not deserve to win the nc that year. and if they did. the qb sure didnt. he did everything in his power to throw an int late in that game.
@cshsfootball your saying the quarterback was trying to throw an interception??? you're an idiot. Don't be jealous texas was the best team that year, they deserved the national title by beating the heisman winner roger staubach in the cotton bowl handily. Plus, that quaterback in the video was the backup because the starter was injured that game.... get your facts straight
@longhorn4life17 obviously you havent listened to much commentating. saying that someone did everything in their power to mess up is an expression and simply means that he wasn't doing anything right on the play and the video clearly shows an interception proving they didn't deserve to win the NC.
I was there to on the field just to the left of the interception on the other side of the sip waving his hands that it was no good. and it clearly was a catch i saw him put his hands around it as he was falling. This lets me know just how old i feel

Good luck getting calls in the Big 12 after you almost cost the entire front office their livelihood. Selfish jerkoffs.

I am thankful simply for the fact that my hatred for t.u. began that day.

As an Aggie, it was clearly a game ending I-N-T...as a horn, it was merely a good call.
I do however think that the 'sip in the suit next to the goalpost may have influenced the official.
good video, however. Thanks for hosting!

Nope, he was juggling it slightly.
