  • I had serious Hemorrhoids for decades. The past year I developed serious bleeding. I had this product lying around called ClearMed, which didn't seem to work when I used it 6 months previously. Knowing that surgery was my next step, I decided to take 5 times the recommended dose (I'm not recommending this), about 10 capsules. Next day no bleeding and I had bled every day for 2 weeks. I gradually reduced to 2 per day and 4 months later, no problems. Placebo?

  • I've been noticing a tendency within my own experience where spicy foods lead to hemorrhoids. Perhaps I already have hemorrhoids but the irritation from spicy compounds cause the veins to further inflame? I don't know, but eliminating on the toilet is always much more comfortable after not having eaten anything spicy in my own experience.

  • I personally believe we are designed to eat only fruits and vegetables and that each F & V contains the necessary fiber required to pass it through our digestive system, just as it has the needed enzymes (when not cooked) to predigest itself to save our body the extra work and wasting our digestive enzymes. Meat and dairy does not contain fiber and therefore remains longer in the colon and ferments or putrefies. All our food should contain its own fiber.

  • Not the Eskimos I've read about. Toothless by their 30's and ridden with arthritis by their 50's. These are, of course, those that live away from the city, survive on raw animal fats and proteins, which are very acidic to the body, which explains losing teeth and bone density. Yet they won't be at a high risk of heart disease or be overweight. Easily explainable as well, but not enough time or room.

  • I heard from a dental assistant who serves Eskimos every year that the problem is the introduction of Coca-Cola and sweets to the local stores, but no toothpaste. . . . There's more explanation as well . . . The first generation that leaves a raw diet has the most severe changes in their teeth. For white folk like me . . . we're used to coping with cooked/processed/sugary food so it takes more to ruin our teeth, etc.

  • @NewKreature517 interesting thing about the Inuit is that they lived where everything is frozen (most of the time) so many of them got frozen and preserved in ice falls and so forth. The google news groups are full of newspaper articles about finds of ancient frozen bodies. From reading this it is patently obvious that they did suffer from many health problems. They also often had vegetable matter in the stomachs suggesting to me that it was a highly prized food.

  • I agree with you. However, the current food system is so DIRTY due to pesticides and all kinds of other stuff. You might be poisoning yourself if you eat nothing but raw vegetables and fruit. I guess if you eat ALL organic stuff, you might be fine. However, I don't have the money to eat all organic. I wish I did. And I wish I would have the will power to not eat all this junk that the media and corporations push on you.

  • buy the book "backyard homestead"... it cured my apathy and broke down all my ideas about not being able to afford my own health... the soil nearest you is waiting for you to plant food in it!!!!!

  • @NewKreature517.... I thought similarly for a while. Lately however I have found that actually increasing the amounts of meat and raw dairy I consume as a process of Nutritional Balancing I have been able to have great bowel movements. Has surprised me..... veganism, I don't think, has played any part in human evolution.

  • Overeating wheat Breads, and straining at the toilet will give you Hemorrhoids. More fruits, and fresh greens will prevent hemorrhoids.
