I think you're right really. No other would country would be so daft as to allow a man who once work as a general and hatred preacher for Bin Laden to remain in the country because exiling him would violate his "human rights". Not only that he gets to live entirely off the taxpayer in a huge Georgian house - paid for by the government of course.

Who exactly are you talking about? Who did you save? The UK was never going to be invaded in either war, we defeated the Germans in the air before they even had chance in WW2. You only got involved when it directly affected you. E.g. Pearl Harbour - WW2 and the U-boat sinking of a civilian Cruiseliner in WW1.
