now more than eve i charish the cross ty russ for being a servant of GOD. u r one of my favorite artists and u were one of my brothers also. he passed away 7 months ago from a 5 year battle with cancer.he never wavered in his walk with jesus.praise he was a christion and is now in heaven totlally healed and out of pain ty bro for being faithful and true to GOD .MISS HIM

This song just grabs my heart - the words "You're wanted, you're precious, you're the love of his heart and the old rugged cross was for you" bring tears to my eyes - The Gaithers have such an awesome talent for writing great songs and Russ an equally awesome talent to sing them with great feeling.

Russ never did anything less than beautiful, and this rates right up there towards the time. The fact that anyone who knows Russ knows the sincerity and depth of his faith, and the struggles of his life, will appreciate this even more.

I listened to russ taff in the early 80,s n loved him n after 25 years i still think he sure can sing .. the isaacs here are very good too.
