Skoda is a brand of VW, like Audi,Beantly Lamborghini, MAN Trucks, Scania , Porsche , Bugatti, only to name a few of the 11.

They are only Brands, you will find the in a lot of Models, the engine gearbox etc, in a Audi,Seat,VW or Skoda.

However, Skoda models have more in common with VW and Seat more in Common with Audi.

i.e. the Seat Exeo, is the old Audi A4

The v of vRS is the little thing above the S in the Skoda name, nothing at all to do with victory.And I was informed of this by a Skoda spokesman in the Czech republic. Ford threw their rattle out of their pram because Skoda wanted to use the RS badge here but they have the rights to it.

Without referring to Wikipedia or anywhere i can tell you the VAG (vw, audi group) bought Skoda in the early 90s and Skoda started using the VW technology on the Favorit from 1991/2, and the all new Felicia in 1994 was a VW Polo more or less. Look at the new skoda engines, gearboxes and interior switches and you'll see they come straight from the current VW range.

If you dont know what youre talking about, do some research first!!

@masterdebater731r LOL. Skoda's from the eighties maybe very oldfashioned, but rust-wise they are often the same or sometimes a little better as Western marques. I dont know if you know anything about cars, but in the eighties only a very few cars DIDN"T rust. I absolutely dear to place my extremely oldfashioned 1989 Skoda 105 (which always stood outside) next to an Opel or some japanese product of that same year.

@grimba123 . Hello mate. I bought a Skoda VRS and can honestly say it's the best car I have bought for the money. The boot space is crazy and to be honest the spec is so similar to the golf it's not worth worrying about. I love it so much I wold buy another tomorrow. It's fast and practical. I have two large dogs and enjoy fishing and it swallows all my gear with no trouble. The golf couldn't do that Plus beacuse it's skoda it wont attract too much attention from criminals.

Most of the VRS that I ever see tend to be the Fabia version. I wonder if it's the old bill buying the estate versions? I would be curious to know just how many VRS are sold in the UK each year. @masterdebater731r Over here in Northern Ireland, the majority of VRS skodas tend to be octavia hatchs and fabias. I myself had the VRS fabia and have only just this year swapped it for a new golf GTD. Most of the police VRS octavias over here are also hatches. I read that fact online somewhere on a car review of both the estate and hatch VRS.
