  • Luckily ill have my liscense by next year! Looks like I found my first car :)

  • That was GREAT! Ken is an AWESOME drifter! Gambarimasu!

  • good angle at 1:37

  • I cannot wait for these cars. Lighter than both the 370 and the Genesis. Cheaper too. But what I'm really interested in the the Afternarket! TRD is going to be releasing some good stuff. They released an S/C for the tC, so I can't wait to see what happens with this thing. Great Video Gushi!

  • whenever i hear the word "Chiba" my eyes go red and i get the munchies...

  • if it only had a turbo boxer it would be a tuner's dream... great subaru boxer sound, tunability and reliability with a classic front engine rear drive layout......... the way it sits right now without a turbo, i would still choose a hyundai 2.0 turbo genesis over it.

  • 2013 GENESIS COUPE V6 WITH 350 HP.... of course I want a Hyundai not a light shit with 200 HP. LOL

  • .. i like the sound of this four banger... doesn't sound so buzzing like the honda motors... this sounds throaty and aggressive....

  • Honda...please bring back the s2k...PLEASE!

  • @highereducationact I'm going to make a quick guess and say that you're ken gushi (a total beast) or one of his many female (or male) stalkers (kinda creepy). there were some times when you had to pull the ebrake multiple times (like at 2:56) Why? Just trying to learn, not trying to be critical or anything (as if I had a right to be!!), also what techniques would you use to drift an ff with a foot ebrake (worst situation to be in for drift) I can't seem to get the rears to break loose if I flick

  • I want one

  • not in power..

  • @Pepehgt5 It has more than enough power. 200hp in a 1200kg is enough to make it very fun.

  • @derbigpr500 I think now that's not enough power.

  • Now the body of this car is now at a very nice compromise.

  • isnt the fr-s fwd?

  • @GeoForReal It's rear. The FR in FR-S refers to the engine / drive wheels layout. (Front-engine, Rear-wheel drive)

  • One question. Does the car have a LSD. PLEASE SAY IT DOES!!!! I'll be so sad if it doesn't

  • @accordv6er im pretty sure it does

  • @accordv6er One LSD, STOCK FROM FACTORY, NIGGA~~~~~

  • @accordv6er Yes, the car is equipped with a Torsen!

  • I'm going to trade in my Scion TC for this. :)

  • Perfect Project Car!!!

  • I want one :(

  • its a 200HP car, and Ken is drifting it nice and easy, you really don't need a higher powered engine... you need a better skill set to drift it, that was the essence of the design - to teach you how to do it right... bunch of morons asking for a more powerful engine...

  • FR-S, GT-86 (yeah they changed the name) or BRZ I cant decide but in the end THERE ALL THE SAME CAR!!

What I want is the 200 hp 4 boxer RWD that I can enjoy. What the badge say wont mean a thing to proformance.

  • @DeadNightLife There are slight differences between all three subtypes. Aside from the aesthetics the Scion is more street friendly with softer front suspension, the Toyota is a little more aggressive and is rumored to include a supercharger when the boosted model comes out, and the BRZ "STI" version is planned to be turbocharged.

  • @DeadNightLife the subaru will be setup on the softer side(due to the suspension settings) but you cant go wrong with either one!

  • @AndroidJdm I thought it was the other way around lol

  • @calvinblinkee It could be, we'll know when they both come out. One source says the toyota/scion will be softer and the others say that the subaru will be softer lol they're both going to be badass for sure!!

  • I can't wait to see this on Top Gear UK. I bet Jeremy Clarkson would have a thing or two to say about it.

  • This will be my first brand new car, i really wish they would bring it over with toyota badges, because there are people that think scion is some cheap junk brand even though its really just toyota, oh well, guess they'll have to learn

  • @DietzA3 The FR-S is tuned differently from the GT-86

  • thats sick! i wanna drive one now lol

  • Love it.

  • nissan should drop the s16

  • anyone asking for a thumbs up gets a thumbs down

  • Thumb Up if you wanna buy Scion Fr-s,Subaru Brz or Toyota GT86 !

  • I like his helmet.....

  • Fuck you fish eye!!! ..the camera lens..not Ken Gushi...

  • I have been waiting for this for soooo long!!!!

  • @wideopendrift, you ever driven a stock 240sx, ae86, e30, miata, etc? ITS A STOCK CAR u dumb fucking twat, it's gonna have roll

  • @KalEL600rr, then go buy a mustang stfu and gtfo!

  • awesome video, i am definitely going to be getting one next year!

  • Wow, I think I've found my first brand new car. Up to this point, I was planning on keeping my '02 RSX-S for another 2-3 years and pick up a used E90, but not anymore. This is everything I was looking for in a car and at $25k or so, it's worth it

  • IT DOESNT NEED MORE POWER BECAUSE IT WILL ACCELERATE ITSELF ANYWAY

    LOL!

  • "I think anyone could just hop in this car and enjoy it. It's not about horsepower, it's not about electronics; It's just you and the car." -Ken.

Amen to that :D I can't wait till these eventually start hitting the second hand market, I'll be in for one.

  • He makes it look so easy!

  • 200hp LOL

    RATHER HAVE 5.0 V8 MUSTANG

  • @KalEl600rr and thats why those cars exist; for people that like power. For the rest of us we understand what "neutral handling" means and how thats very difficult to engineer.

  • @KalEl600rr you're missing the point.

  • @KalEl600rr So keep your rustang. For the rest of us who care more about driving experience and handling, we will get one of these. Yeah, you may have "super awesome horsepower" and be able to go straight really fast, but when you hit that corner going that fast and have to slow down, we will be sliding right through it at the same speed we entered. True cars have balanced power and handling. Something America and their idiot designers don't get.

  • @KalEl600rr haha just a heads up the 5.0 V8 Mustang from 1995 only produced 215 HP... haha just saying.

  • @shootzeglass that is pretty sad for the mustang with a 5 liter and a v8 to only make 215hp

  • @Miike92 @shootzeglass Keep in mind that SAE ratings have changed throughout the years as well. Not to mention that technological advances have created stronger, more reliable engines.

  • I want this so bad! I can't wait until the mags review it. Heck regardless, I want to test drive this thing!

  • Comment removed

  • First mods for this car would be I/H/E, rims, springs.

  • "I was told not to trash the car" LOL...you already did!! Awesome driving man~

  • 3 people own golf GTI and will stick to it no matter what

  • getting paid for drifting a new car = priceless

  • looking real good! With s2k and rx-8 gone, there are no real affordable sports cars on the market, only semi-muscle/luxury 370z/z4 left. The 86 looks like a real sports car: balanced, lightweight, lsd. good job toyota/subaru!

  • As we see KTM slogan's "Ready to Race" this will be "Ready to Drift"

  • Average driving..

    Awesome car though..

  • Gushi no.1! Gushi no.1!

  • i will speak from experience & opinion. i have a 20 year old stock 240sx with minor modifications that is fun to drive when its running. i like..., better yet love my car, but i could easily pick a newer model car or 350z for the amount i'd pay for this, but speed & power doesn't always equal fun to drive. not to compare the 350z to this b/c there is no comparison, but everyone doesn't have thirty plus thousand dollars to sink into a car. basically its a poor mans sports car thats fun to drive.

  • should have come with 3 manual trans instead of 6mt lol

  • I want this car! Wish ppl would understand the point of this car.... thanks Ken for explaining it.

  • friggen awesome

  • Fuck man in learning how to drift with my Japanese friend it's so cool Im going to get one fr-s next year SAAN I'm so excited!!! Nice video sir!!

  • He looks like a kid on christmas while drifting :)

  • awesome driving friend!

  • Im gonna buy it

    in 2025

  • He was out of breath and grinning after the very first turn,

And he does this for a living. Can't wait to drive it.

  • looks slow, suspensions loose, only reason he could even crossover cuz the road was wet

  • @wideopendrifting its a 2 litre NA what do you expect? its the stock suspension what do you expect?

  • @wideopendrifting The entire point of this car is to be fun & affordable. Didn't you even listen to what the guy said? It's not about horse power or tech. Toyota could've made a different car with more power & tech like a Nissan Z, but then it would end up costing as much. The base model price of this car will probably not be much different than a family wagon or minivan so you shouldn't expect it to be some super car.

  • @SuperHimLove and plus lexus already made the LFA, toyota has no need to make a supercar. It seems to me like their trying to move into sports car territory . Toyotas probably gonna have one next

  • @AyJayG002 and that would be SUPRA

  • @wideopendrifting Gosh, is reading the description that hard?

  • @wideopendrifting

get back to your Forza drifting lol!

  • @wideopendrifting No, even stock without rain, he would be able to. It has pretty much the same power as a stock sr20det. And if I can drift my very stock ae86 without rain, Ken could def do it no problem. Oh yea, and he also has an 86. It's all about skills at this point. And your id is wideopendrifting, where are your videos?

  • @wideopendrifting This coming from a person that drifts on a couch. Forza isn't reality, drift a real car and you'll understand how it works. I've drifted cars with slightly more than 100whp, you don't need power to drift, you need skill.

  • sounds great

  • PLEASE make more drifting videos just like this. chilling drifting.

  • Making it look so easy! thumbs up!

  • Aw man I would never try drifting but that looks fun.

  • looks like the car is heaps of fun to drive

  • Great video can't wait till this hits the streets and see what people do with them. Been hearing its akin to the Rx-8 as in under powered by some but handles very well if not better than its competition in its price range. Needless to say I'm exciting Toyota is getting back into the Sport Coup segment.

  • Awesome car!

  • i think he likes it...

  • sweet, toyota finally made a cool sports car again :D

  • Sounds just like a KA from inside the car (at least when recorded with his Contour)

  • the one dislike owns a civic with 1000hp and knows he will never have as much fun as this 200hp monster.

  • well. looks like i've made my decision.

  • Thats pretty dam good for a 200hp factory car. Cant wait for these to come out :)

  • Great style....love the sideways. How could someone dislike? Its an unreleased car....super nice Ken.

  • Very very nice. Great driver in a great car.

  • Love it! Give me one at least xD

  • coolness!

  • ugh , no offense to ken , but what a pos in stock form . not much angle lock it looks like . and it looks ugly , but u gotta appreciate new rwd coupes from manufacturers, non the less , im just not impressed by this vehicle

  • @PrentissRacing name one car that is set up well for drift from factory? exactly this car is set up brilliantly and its doing a good job for only 200hp! im well impressed

  • @somerandomaussie 240sx, 180sx, Silvia, AE86 ... need more? However, in TODAY's world, I'll have to agree - today's current market has no "off-the-shelf" drift-ready platforms.

  • @PainIs4ThaWeak85 240sx has a trash rear diff hence welding, AE86 is a very rare hard to find chassis code with the matching block. However, I would have to throw the RX-7 Turbo II in there. Has a fantastic rear-end and more than enough power to abuse for a streetable drifter.

  • @PanikProne In regards to the 240 rear: of course its an open diff. Though capable of handling 350whp+ (which, yes, I've seen personally) - Though the open diff won't hamper a decent driver in the S13/14 chassis too horribly. Podium finishes have been won by 240 drivers with open diffs at Streetwise events in the past.

  • The tracyion control light doesn't know what's going on.

  • the smile says it all, good stuff man!

  • looks like it's a very easy car to drift.. nice one ken =)

  • nice footage!! seem to have a very relaxed driving style
