I like Willie Nelson in songs such as "Always on My Mind," etc., but not so much this one, especially compared to Peggy Lee's beautiful rendition. Not bad, but not great either.

I doubt that Peggy Lee,however splendid her rendition was,had the sadness and sorrow in her voice Willie has.On the other hand I consider this version more intimate than the one you mentioned.Willie IS the gipsy spirit
