Nice numbers man,but cant you get boost per gear? Becouse i see it is slower than a standard GTi from 0-100 becouse of the huge traction probs. :-S I asume the next mod is to get Toyo R888 tires and a LSD kit and that would improve your 0-100 time extremely. :-D

@trendkill777 After such an acceleration is good to put in neutral and let the car decelerate ( not braking or very light braking ) so while the engine is running at idle rpm ( producing the minimun heat ) the car is still going fast receiving a lot of wind on the radiator . So this will rapidly cool down the higher temperatures due to the previous acceleration . This is the explanation .

And..by the way ,,, when you seriously race on road when you have to enter a curve and brake to the limit

@trendkill777 ...when you seriously race on road ( but also on track if you don't have a sequential gearbox ) when you brake to the limit you can't use gears simply because car will decelerate more rapidly than you can change gears . So , for example , you are approaching a curve and you are in 5th gear . Curve is supposed to be done in 2nd gear . You breake to the limit and simply you can't change gears in sequence 5th 4th 3rd 2nd because car deceleration due to brakes will be faster than you

@trendkill777 So you may do 5th 3rd 2nd jumping the 4th gear or directly 5th 2nd but , BUT , waiting with clutch down and while braking . when the time for 2nd gear is arrived then you may disengage clutch and let 2nd gear do his job of deceleration . This will result in shorter braking distances and less stress for the transmission . Anyway .... drive as you feel more confident . mine was only an explanation and advice . peace .

@Eney53 FWD car with no LSD or fancy suspension trying to put down 300hp. = Wheel spin. Which means speedo bouncing around as the car thinks it is going faster than it is. The car is putting out 120hp more than it was designed to. Of course it is going to have traction issues off the line. Any 300hp FWD car does. Due to the weight transfer to the rear of the car causing it the lift the front end thus lower traction. Mix in street tyres and you end up with something like the above.

Not down a hill either. It is a DP engineering car, quite a well known tuning company. One of there turbo kits bolted on to the 206. A car that weighs slightly over a ton with near as damn it 300hp tends to be fairly swift. To put it into perspective using power to weight figures. That 206 is probably running around 265bhp per ton. The new 420hp BMW M3 is 265bhp per ton as well.

the engine has a lot of power, so it lets the front wheels spin. so the front wheels spin harder than that the car is moving. and because the thing that measures your speed is located at the front wheels, it measures how fast your wheel is turning, not how fast the car is going. quite simple really..
