  • to be more compassionate toward him I don't know his whole story. But a couple of guys who came from the same area J kidd , Payton , Hook Mitchel. Two made it one won the Ring whats the difference? Kidd and Payton cared more and appreciated the God given talent they were given.

  • hmmm I shoot dice on the streets get robbed forget to pay child support, or wake up go to practice be a good team mate. Hmmm lets see what else I just F'd off a zillion dollars.

  • Fam had game.. nobody is perfect and he even said he made some bad choices and i would chew gum and do a interview if it makes me comfortable shit its 7 years later wish he would have won a ring

  • @Mr01Dantana Word, Everybody is Upset on what he did in his Career he could of been on of the Best!

  • @Mr01Dantana he won a ring in 2001 with the lakers but was kept off the playoff roster

  • I find it a little hard to believe someone who is talking about "professionalism" while chewing gum in an interview.

  • this nigga chewing gum while talking to a grown man

  • This interview would have probably given him the chance to play again. the interview wasn't convincing unfortunately.

  • john thompson is too harsh and all the drug stuff is so overblown...

most guards are done by 33! he had great seasons and a longer career than most players

    peace JR!

  • "Isaiah Rider: My Testimony, Raw and Uncut" Coming soon. No stone left unturned. Follow @Isaiah_Rider for the real deal

  • What happen to this documentary Rider was making about him self? Every time I look up Rider he's always in trouble again. Look on wiki. Michael Jordan had trouble guarding Rider. Rider's 6.6 or 6.5 and his torso was huge. Stocky guy. Muscle. Lakers should of keep him another season. He was truly happy there. If no one want Allan iverson in nba then I dont think Rider Will have any hope. My dream for player comeback is lived in the still young Darius Miles now. Checkout his footwork.

  • damn

  • Rider was a sick dunker! Too bad he couldn't keep his shit together. He was dope on the T-Wolves and Hawks!

  • kinda look like Ray J a little!

  • wish he got another shot =(

  • that interview breaks my heart.

  • I hope Isiah gets another chance, yes he made his mistakes, but com'on give a guy a chance?!

    Everyone deserves a second chance!

He is a talent and i think he can still make some noise!

  • This man was SICK (in a good way) with the talent he first brought to the NBA. He fell from stardom like Shawn Kemp, etc.

  • @nicelemon2 Well just a good player, never became a star, you can't compare him to Shawn Kemp. This guy was good but never show more than this.

  • I used to live in Alameda growing up there going to school. There was dirt track off road area called the hooker where we would ride our bokes and play. JR was an ass hole then, we were kids he was the bully of west Alameda, he thought he owned Buena Vista park. So the whole statement he made I was never a thug is bull shit!

  • Monster talent. Maybe not All Star talent but borderline and could have had a nice -solid- 12 year run in the league. That entire era was the era of the primadona in the league though. Just way too much expansion in the league to where rookies could be the best players on their team and maybe making more money on the team than veterans *and* the coaches (pre-current CBA). The leauge was to blame for a lot of this. Pre-expansion even great rookies would probably come off the bench.

  • I remember when he played on that 1996-1997 Portland team with Kenny Anderson and Rasheed Wallace. His talent level was off-the-charts. It just depresses me that someone with so much talent ended up in jail the way Rider did.

  • " When I waz born my momma & daddy shouldve named me Isaiah cuz Ima Rider " E-40

  • Let's put it this way...the guy can play - there's no doubt about that...he can play. However, he just has an attitude problem. Tone it down Mr. Rider. Be more humble and modest and you will get another chance to shine.

  • i think he handed this interview not so well. He showed a wall of pride.

If he just humbled himself in this interview , i bet you someone would have picked him up

  • fUCK Y'ALL HATERS ALWAYS KICKING A MAN WHEN HE'S DOWN LIKE Y'ALL SO PERFECT

  • Sup Jay this Walt, just stay true to your self. The only opinion that matters is from the man in the mirror.........P. S. and if they don`t know Shebba then don`t roll with em cuz they not family. Stay up nephew. I`m out.

  • he cant even show up on time to a game at my gym

  • Who are you? Not from Makaser or Parrot vill then shut the fuck up

  • sucks he never played again

  • Alameda's Finest

  • I know it looks like John Thompsan is givin rider alot of heat but thats an interviewers job. they want to get as much emotion out of the talent as they can. look at bob costas interviews.

  • ::winces at I invested a million dollars in a movie::

    What a fool.

  • Kenyon Martin jacked Rider's "let me show u my tits" routine.

  • this is sad...

  • He's still minimizing. The problem was that he evidently realize that a back-down iso 2, MOSTLY offense is fairly expendable (especially one with an attitude).

  • 4:55 I don't trust you. I don't believe a word you just said.

Thompson grills him. Awesome. It is sad Rider's career went the way it did. Credit to him: he sat there and took the heat.

  • Thompson - "What the hell is wrong with you?"

  • john thompson can't interview for crap lol
