  • Nice, now do a parody of the 18th, 19th and twentieth century Irish rebellions against England.

  • I LOVE IT! Lmfao. Please make another I'm begging you pretty please with a cherry on top.

  • This is gas great craic!!! Anyone that can't find the humour in it has never heard of Ding Dong Denny O'Reily. If we cant take the piss out of ourselves we have no right to take it out of any of ya. In the words of me gran if ya dont like it fekk off ya fekkin idjit

  • punish my knob!!!! lol

  • Actually this isn't very funny, I could only muster a smirk. Everyone is a whore.

  • The funny part is that this could really pass off as a "real" celtic orchestra. :D

  • No, it's not funny, it's HILARIOUS!

Finally, someone with a sense of humor and initiative to lampoon a "musical group" that far too many take far too seriously.

  • i dont get any of the jokes. :(

  • Comment removed

  • OMFG I am in love, you are so damn funny. I now have u added to my Celtic Women list lol

  • This is rather funny! Too bad PBS doesn't show this instead of "Celtic Woman" over and over and over (and over) again...

  • @Julietjeske

Maybe miguels' mother was from Dublin?

  • she looks like cameron diaz

  • Brilliant, it may be a parody but it deserves to stand on its own merit.

  • I think it's funny...

  • Holy Shit! I just busted my gut!!!! Goddam funny if you ask me. Some folks just need to lighten up. They just needed a nymph running around playing the slobbering blues on the skin flute.

  • @meinteil963 You smell funny.

  • THIS IS THE EXAMPLE OF THE FALL OF MEN. IDIOTS THINKING THAT ALL THAT WAS AND IS PERCEIVED TO BE TAKEN SERIOUS CAN E MADE FUN OF BECAUSE YOUR STUPID MIND FULL OF EXCREMENT CREATED BY THE MEDIA AND THE DEFECATION OF INSECTS IN YOUR BRAIN HAS TOLD YOU TO DO SO. PEOPLE LIKE YOU, AND THOSE OF SOUTH PARK, FAMILY GUY, AND ROBOT CHICKEN AND ALL THAT BUNCH OF IDIOTS SHOULD BE BURNED ALIVE IN A STOVE THEY ARE THE EXEMPLIFICATION OF HUMAN TRASH.

  • @Kalvin40 So you're saying you liked it?

  • @Kalvin40 SIEG HEIL!

  • lmao it realy funny good job :)

  • You know, a little more poetic varnish on the vulgar parts and this would be an AMAZING folk song.

  • O_O OH MY FUCKING GOD. YOU DESCRASED A AMAZING SONG YOU FUCKING PRICK!!!!! XSSS

  • @LadyAzimuth Descrased? And "DESRASED A AMAZING"?

It's not the wisest thing to try and write if you're illiterate. Remember, if you must be illiterate, don't write.

  • was this supposed to be funny? I give it a thumbs down.

  • @AntiHero12109 Yes, it was. And it was funny. But not to you. Come back when you realize that taste is subjective.

  • @ksim43 your opinion means nothing to me.

  • @AntiHero12109 My opinion doesn't exist for that purpose. So considering that context, yours is equally meaningless.

  • @ksim43 they be trollin....they hatin....

  • Amazing, I lol'd.

  • I HATE THIS I HATE YOU AH! HOW DARE U MAKE THIS! MABEY WE OTTA MAKE FUN OF U ANDD SEE HOW U LIKE IT!!!!!! UGH IT MAKES ME MAD WHEN THEY MAKE FUN OF CW UGH IM MAD THIS JUST RUINED ME DAY.SHIT. u suck

  • @bigsis314

    1) Then you should stay off the Internet because there's going to be lots of things on the Internet that would apparently enrage you that is meant for entertainment.

  • @bigsis314

    2) Or you could just not click on it. It's titled "Whores of Dublin - Celtic Woman Parody". That pretty much spells out not only what the song will be, but that it is a parody? So why click on it in the first place? It's like being allergic to seafood, going into a seafood restaurant, ordering the lobster, and then getting mad at the staff that you got sick. It's no one else's fault you're angry but your own.

  • LMAO the title is awesome.

  • Can you post the lyrics or something? Cuz I can't really understand most of what's being said.... :(

  • Never mind those who tend to get way too serious to see humor when it stares them in the face..

This is funny and well done. At least you had fun making it and made lots of us laugh. Thank you.

  • It's not my style of humor but I don't find it offensive. It's just a joke.

  • is this a joke?

  • Omg Wtf Lmmfao This could be slightly offensive but it's more funny. Funny beats offensive.

  • I will punish your knob, I will scuttle your clackers...you can come right in the front or in the backerz....lmao!

  • LOL!,it is funny, but there is some truth to this Lyrics, which is probably what makes it not funny.

  • lmfao that was soooo funny

  • that was really cool. now that i heard you're song, i see you're right. celtic woman and all of the others are very "aawww, the old times were so romantic". i really like it (sorry for my bad english)

  • cont'd

We, would have been the raped and sold, and abused. Our boys would have been forced into the armies of the scum Overlords, to fight their petty wars.

Just the thought get my blood boiling.

So much for the "princesses" and our looking up at King Arthur and his shining knights ( who admired fine "Ladies" of the Courts, but stepped all over every one else). Same with the Troubadours singing about Love.

  • Hehehe!

Good on ya! I'm sick and tired of these "love the good ole days" idiots. And the celebrations with the Medieval Tournaments, Renaisance Fairs (there was slavery in the halls of the popiolas and Medicis), and Medieval Re-enactments.

We, would have been the servants, "peasants," serfs, farmers.

No cloth of gold, or fine weavings for us.

  • This is hilarious! I've been watching Celtic Woman on PBS tonight and just came across this. I'm sending it to a friend of mine who will appreciate the humor as well as the voice ;)

You have to have a bit of dark Irish humor to appreciate it!

  • I like Celtic Woman but hahahahahah!!!!

  • Magical.

    The voice of an angel.

It brought a tear to my eye.

  • ireland rocks^^

  • Oh my hahahah this is priceless... Poor Whores of Dublin XD and you have a great voice by the way! and Miguel, you're an asshole you should criticize something you don't understand, listen to folk music first!

  • I would have liked this more if involved a still beating human heart, pentagram and cerimonial druid dagger inscribed with ancient runes.

  • This is absolutely hilarious! I am a trad music fan and find this parody to be spot-on. Your lyrics are hysterical - "So If you like it here we will do it in the Marsh." Love your voice, and your headband. :)

Yes, many trad songs can have a catchy tune and be fun to sing along with, if you just sort of ignore the subject matter. Check out Old Blind Dogs' "The Pills of White Mercury" here on YouTube - the lyrics are posted with the video - it has a similar theme.

    Can't wait for the sequel.

  • jobless nd so stupid

  • this is bullshhhhhhhhhhhhhhitttttttttttttttttttt

  • This is hilarious and you have a very nice voice.

You mentioned the story about the girl who gets killed by her sister and turned into a fiddle. One of the members of Celtic Woman (Meav) actually has a song about that on one cd.

  • See most of you guys get the joke! You have to actually know folk music to understand it. And then there are those who think I am personally attacking the performers, which I am NOT! Sheesh!

  • @Julietjeske You're fucking brilliant. But for the record the English are far bigger slags than my mickians

  • @Julietjeske The fact that you say Minge is just genius. well sone, its brilliant.

  • Stupid video ! I think "Whore of the US" would be a better title

  • this video is horrible! it disrespects woman who work hard to make others happy with their songs!

this is a insult to the celtic woman!

  • I thought I'd hate this but I think its brilliant.

I nearly fell of my chair laughing!

    Lol

  • That is... so damn funny lmao

  • you actually have a nice singing voice. sing about beautiful things. calling oneself a whore and enjoying it is not beautiful. I hope Celtic Woman will never sing anything like this.

  • What can I say? I have a dark sense of humor. An as I keep pointing out, authentic folk songs are pretty vicious many of them are about murder, betrayal and death. My favorite morbid one involves a woman drowning her sister, then then making a fiddle from her bones, and finally when the fiddle is played it cries out for revenge and the the woman and her lover are killed! No kidding.

  • @Julietjeske

Where can I find this "dark folk songs" ? Can you give us same names of bands, songs etc., please. The most of us (who are not from ireland) don't know this music.

  • @JosefRaddy I learned about them in college, you could probably find some in a google search. You have to find AUTHENTIC folk songs. I had books full of them, and they are not satire, but the real deal. There is a real one about how the lovers not only kill another woman, but turn her hip bones into a lute and then when they play it her ghost comes back and haunts them. Lots of revenge and death!

  • well If they truly sang trad and not 'Somewhere over the rainbow" Then they would sing more songs like this!

  • At least you get it!!!! As I think the majority of people here do! If you really know folk music, then you get the joke! Thanks!

  • LOL i get it now!!!

  • I am glad, I never meant to insult the performers, I would just love for them to sing something like this! Or there is an actual folk song about a murder and one of the lines is 'As he watched her float down the stream" that is after he murdered her of course. I don't remember the name of the song, but he was a rich noble and she was poor and he killed her, many of them have that theme.

  • well there is 'Oh the wind and rain/two sisters' but he doesn't kill her. one sister kills the other out of Jealousy, "She pushed her sister in the river to drown

And watched her as she floated down

She floated 'til she came to the miller's pond Crying, Father, oh father, there swims a swan" and then there is the cruel mother ... " A carvin' knife was in 'er 'and She ran it through the baiby's 'art" Portsmouth town "She grabbed him and she stabbed him she tore him in three" all v.Happy :-)

  • Hahaha, I was skeptical at first.

But the more I listened, the more I laughed.

    Genius!

  • This put a much-needed smile on my face. So many of us can sure use an extra one in these times. Bravo, please, keep making these!

  • Was that about Celtic woman? I love Celtic woman they can't be whores their music is too spiritual for that , plus the youngest just finished high school!

  • I think you are entirely missing the satire. This is not a comment on any of the specific performers, not even close. You should look up some really old Irish and American folk songs, some are extremely dark and violent. The women in the show are very talented, and I don't think they are "whores". I just wish they would sing one of the old songs about murder and betrayal, that would be hysterical.

  • Aye... God bless me wee whores o'Dublin! Don know what eyed do wit ouch'ee!

  • Nice voice. Very convincing...until I listened to the lyrics! Very naughty. Very irreverent. Very funny. Happy St. Pat's.

  • moya brennan's my mum

  • I don't even know who that is.

  • So funny and very clever! You have a beautiful voice too!

  • Wow, that was ridiculously hilarious! You win . . . at life . . . seriously lol. I swear I will be sitting at work tomorrow and 'the whooooooooooooOOOOoooores of dublin' will pop into my head and I will break down laughing. Thanks for this, it's awesome :D

  • *SMILE* I LOVE Irish music, and this is still REALLY funny to me! Kudos on the nice parody job! :)

  • Don't fret about the nasty comments, that just means more people are watching, which is a good thing. I think I've watched it 5 times since last night, and I still crack up everytime.

    BRAVO!

  • This may be the most amazing video I have come across on youtube. As a long time fan of Anuna and the like, this is just brilliantly spoofed.

  • I am still up if you can believe it, I have horrible insomnia and well it is sort of a holiday week. Thanks so much. I have gotten some nasty comments lately. I guess they don't have a sense of humor. I love Irish music, but the old traditional songs are fairly HARSH! I am working on another one, not sure when I will shoot it. And due to multiple requests the lyrics will be posted soon! Thanks!

  • Disturbingly accurate parody. Very funny.

  • This is well made!

    XxSarah

  • "Oh dear lad, I'm a whore" lmao

  • could some one post up the lyric pls?

  • ok, not 100% but this is what i've got so far... I shall wait for the sailor who is down by the sea And i hope that many of them might fancy me For i am so poor that i am nearly starved So if you like it here We shall do it in the mores Chorus Cried the whores of Dublin Cried the whores of Dublin My dear lads, im a whore I will polish your knob I will scuttle your clackers You can come right in front or in the backers I will cobble your lad
  • I will give you a bag of swag

You would all night, Im the best youve ever had

I will knock the hole up with a drip of me minge

I will play your flute, or you can kick me back door in

I will eat your arse slow

You can have all me giblets

As long as you give me a shilling or a trinket

    For i hope one day

When the lord will judge me

I hope we will forgive me for my sins and so dont you see

  • Another one,

You won't deny I'm the best you've ever had

    I will knock

  • Sorry my cat loves this song and I was typing a response and she jumped on my lap and went crazy and I stopped mid-way.

    Grip of me minge

I think that is it, but due to the overwhelming demand I think I am going to finally post them properly on the description!

Thanks!!!!! I can't believe you went through all of the trouble.

  • ooops, just noticed that i typed drip instead of grip! Thanks for the corrections

Please do a sequel ... I promise to watch it loads tell my friends about it and rate it 5 stars :-)

  • My husband did die from the clap and disease

And left me with seven babes and many mouths to feed

    Have fun!

  • this is a joke only dumb people would do this kind of shit dublin women are classy eh hores i doubht it

  • Oh sure, there wouldn't be any whores in Dublin. It's just one of the biggest cities in Ireland.

Can someone tell me how to make the eye roll smiley on here?

  • Got another troller here.

  • Ahahahaha!! Oh my gawd, I love this. Every time I hear "Cry the Whores of Dublin" I double over laughing. My friends aren't really listening to the lyrics (they never pay any attention), and have no idea why I'm laughing to hard. Gawd, if only they would pay attention to these lyrics.

Seriously a wonderful job! I look forward should you ever do a sequel.

  • I love Celtic Woman, but I like your song too, it's very funny, hope that you'll post the lyrics too.

  • I am not Irish, German decent actually and 5th generation so I am really AMERICAN, not Irish or German. 1/8 Irish in blood, but I don't really count it. So my parents could care less. But I will let them know that I should be ashamed, I guess for daring to make a parody. The vast majority of Celtic women fans have loved this, I have even gotten requests for lyrics and a follow up. See unedited comments below! To each his own I guess!

  • This is a vary Irish sense of humor, lol

    its so funny!

  • where are the lyrics? I want to learn it! This is so funny, and true especially with the echo and the fog and the synthetic back up.

  • I am absolutely loving how people who are really into this music are getting the joke! I will post the lyrics soon. I am currently swamped making political videos but I do have a sequel to this song in the works. The synthetic sounds are just my voice humming through compressors for voice on garage band. So it is an actual real sound made to sound fake!

  • Thanks! I'll try and get it round on the folk circuit, most folkies tend to love parodies - Look how well the kipper family did! Can't wait to hear the sequel, with even more real sounds made fake!

  • I am really afraid!

I don't think it is funny! I'm afraid, and I'm serious!

  • My first negative comment in over 4,500 views and six months of being on youtube. I think it is a record at least for me. Apparently according your profile you don't speak English as a first language. All of the jokes in this are IRISH (English) slang terms, so you wouldn't get any of the references. Not one. So I guess I will go polish someone's knob, or scuttle their clackers, or have a bit of their barse, and they can nibble me gibblets.

  • Ok! Hahaha... Good investigation... English is not my first language, kkkk.

I didn't wanto to do a negative comment, i just sad what I feel when I see your video... hahahaha... it is funny, but I feel some chills, hehehehe... good job!

  • haha awesome parody! i like irish music and all, but this is really fuuny. and p.s., please do make a sequal!!

  • Funny that you say that, everyone wants a sequel. I am currently thinking of doing a song bitching about how Celtic Woman does songs like Somewhere over the Rainbow. Like she is mad that they aren't doing traditional Irish songs. We'll see. Thanks! So far I haven't gotten any negative comments which is a little shocking!

  • hahahahaa! i just shot beer outta my nose!! funny vid

  • I'm from Ireland and this is funny stuff. Great work.

  • Total win. :)

  • Oh my God this is so funny!

  • Thanks! It was raining the whole time we made it, so we only ended up with 12 minutes of footage!!! I might do a sequel.

  • AHAHAHAHAA!!!

  • I love Celtic music, but I must admit you're spot on. Bravo! This is hilarious. You're voice is beautiful by the way.

  • i LOVE the lyrics!!! especially the chorus

  • Thanks I found all of the terms on Irish Slang websites. My personal favorite is giblets. A word that means bits of turkey to us in the states, but a WHOLE other meaning in the Emerald Isle.

  • OMG thats sooo funny! but i love Celtic music!

  • Thanks, I like Celtic music too, I just find the Celtic Woman thing to be so over the top, that I had to make fun of it. And hey if you love Celtic Woman, it's cool. I just know that a lot of old Irish folk songs are quite dark, and well, Celtic Woman doesn't really do that kind of material.

  • Ha ha thats hillarious! Shes a good singer!

  • i love CLOWNS! and now whores, but only in dublin.

  • lol brilliant 5 stars

  • HAHA i love this!!!!

  • YES!

  • punish your knob? blahahahaha

    me loves

  • This is HILARIOOUS!

  • Nice. I'm goona git you, clown lady!

  • OMG.

    Juliet.

My friend and I were walking through the cloisters yesterday and WALKED RIGHT BY YOU while u were filming this! I didn't even recognize you! Holy shite.

  • That is hysterical! People kept doing that, we even had a car stop, but like hell I had to ignore it. Our battery was running out, it was cold, we just had to get it done. We only shot about 12 minutes of video, but Lynn did such a good job. Lynn and I kept cracking up. I kept thinking of the real goth types who probably make serious videos up there. The place is amazing I can't believe it is in New York.

  • Hilarious! So close to the mark! Just watch, THE WHORES OF DUBLIN is going to be on the next Celtic Women CD.

  • Cameron Diaz can sing! LOL

  • Slainte!
