@GenmaTheSamurai Well, they do have their own limit to things shown for various anime. Detective Conan has no limits to dead bodies, even showing dismembered corpses strewn over the forest .. but they censored the high pressure blood stream from the first episode into a beam of light.

Or changing every conflict in the manga into a card game. And also one guy was supposed to catch on fire in the manga but the anime made it so that he thought it was on fire. Or that one kid was being evil in the manga, the anime had him lose his evilness instead of losing his soul. Madness I tell ya

@GenmaTheSamurai Well, the knife-money thing is rather understandable, as that is pretty dangerous to begin with - yes, so is roping yourself down a dome, but still. I read about the differences, cause I only watched a few of the original season episodes (that whole thing with Miho bored me) But manga tend to take things much further than anime in general - probably due to the fact that black-white and soundless is not as scarey/evil/etc than full colored, animated and with sound.

@GenmaTheSamurai I understand that feeling. I absolutely hated how everything in that anime was about duel monsters, even when it wasn't in the manga. You should try the manga, it's much better, even compared to season 0. I know that the art is bad in the beginning, but it does get better.

@penelopeclearwater77 That's why the manga was so cool! It wasn't obsessed with the card game for a long time, and had more to it until then. In fact, it wasn't until the 8th book, called Yu-Gi-Oh Duelist in English, that the events we see in the (normal and abridged) start happening.
