say, how does the spark timing advance work (0:55)? that's the only real problem i can't figure out in wood gas system. any links that could explain it? turned the web upside down and nothing.
A lot of the newer motors have ping sensors that automatically advance the timeing for alternative fuels, gotta love multi fuel flex fuel designed engines, they did better than they knew. For the older stuff, you just crank the distributor back 10-15 degrees, either set it or put a cable on it.

@alligatorsoupisgood i see! wow, being newer and complicated DOES have something good for wood gas it seems! it's much simpler that way.
