@joepod8129 I was 16 and stupid, that's about all I can say... The road I was on is a main access road between two state roads, the section I drove on (where I used to live) is pretty open, but it's still stupid of me to have been going that fast. I only do that on the road where I live now, which is a 50mph zone
@jmanwild It's barely driven anymore :( I drive my other truck more often, an F150. Long story behind it but driving that truck has aged me 20 years in 2 years... lol
The '06 level 2's can be stickshift? I have an '07 level 2 and they dumped stickshift all together for offroad purposes. You can't even get the level 1 in stick anymore I don't think. My friend had to buy a sport to get manual shift.
yep. i researched the truck online and this was the only one in the state with that package. they're very rare with a 4.0L/5 speed combo. With the stick you had to not get the fancy console and you had to have the basic 6-cd audio system. It sucks without a stick offroad IMO, they're better on the trails. i just took it wheeling this past tuesday too, it rules offroad.
Yeah they might be better on easy trails but for more serious things (mainly krawling) you can say bye-bye to your clutch. Too much rocking back and forth and clutch-riding to be a serious offroad option. But for driving through mud puddles and on basic trails, sure.
You're right though, these Fx4 lvl2s are badass offroad, I beat the hell out of mine and it's indestructable, I swear.
If i had it tipped out the side before the wheel, it wouldn't have been anywhere near as loud. It's dumped right under the back of the cab, and the resonation is still not unbearable, except down the highway at lower speeds. around 3k it kicks off. and the loud sound is from the windows down, mostly, the sound was coming in.
because driving 60mph on a side street is always a good idea :-(

Yeah, that racing shit is quality. I see it in Mustangs and Camaros all the time man. Good stuff

I like the shifters on these Rangers. They look like something out of an 80s and early 90s Chevy S10
