  • man hes good

  • gives me goosbumps, what a voice!!!

  • gred89, you just know you can't sing for fuck.^^ also, what are you doing watching this anyways?

  • wow! AMAZING!

  • i love his voice and i love him ^^

  • omg my friend brittany went to this exact concert, and she sed i was AMAZING

  • Thanx guys!! This concert was absolutley incredible, his voice is beautiful! If you have never seen him live, I really think you should! It was one of the best concerts I have ever been too!

  • I totally agree! I was lucky enough to be in eigth row - one of the Grobanites had an extra ticket (was supposed to be in row 22), and the seat next to me was empty, so my friend and I sat together... after watching the first act, and being so far away, and then being SO increadibly close, and his voice being so amazing... go and see this man! He's amazing. :)

  • OMG yay!! I almost died when he sang this when I saw him in Ottawa... SO saving this one! Thanks!

  • I agree fatgirlgrobie, 'cause it was getting a little rough there for a bit...

  • any concerns i have had about his voice the last couple of years just went down my toilet. thank you for this

  • do what? Make sense, will you?

  • sorry. i had been voicning some concerns that his voice has been deteriorating that last cuple of years and gotten flack for it but seeing this performace allayed my fears.

  • what do you mean? he had problems with his voice?

  • yeah for a bout a year or two his vouice had taken on this horrid nasalness and he strained badly top hit the high notes. He had changed voice teacher and gone form pop to classical training and also his voice was transitioning from pure barityone to more tenor quality. that transition was tricky but he made it

  • I see. That explains why I heard an occasional nasality and minute "flatness" in his voice from 2005-2006 performances, and why I catch a more tenor quality in his "Awake" CD. Still caught these imperfections at his October 2007 Manila concert (I started fearing for him!), but he warmed up pretty fast. His voice is still OK -- he's only 26 -- but I pray he remains as vigilant with his technique as opera singers are, or he'll lose that gorgeous lyric baritone one day.

  • he travels with his vocal coach and they train together 3 times a week. he is being vigilant. but i think he'll lose the baritone anyway-he's going for tenor.

  • I just hope they both know what they're doing. No singer of a musical theater or opera bent has ever undergone Josh's murderously hard concert / promotion schedule, WHILE aiming for an even higher vocal range. It's nearly impossible to keep your vocal technique perfect (even with 3x a week training) without sufficient sleep, proper diet and ambient temperature.

  • david roman is one of the finest vocal coaches out there. he was chosen specifically ebcause no singer with josh's type of sensitive classical type voice had ever done rigerous concert touring and his producer scoured for a coach who would be ablet o keepo josh's voice in shape through all the rigors of touring. jos takes exceptional care of his voice but it is a senstive instrument and responds differently to the different envoronments.

  • josh has said in several interviews that he sleeps alot. just two weeks ago he said something to the effect of "it's all bout sleep. if i get enough sleep i am usually fine" and he hired a cook to tour with him who customizes meals for josh's artist's diet. he doesn't smoke, doesn't drink much at all and avoids clubs and crowds completely unless he knows he won't have to sing for a while. he is very careful. i admire his dilligance.

  • That's good to hear. I'd hate to wake up one day and find Josh "lost" his voice too soon in his career! If there ever was a UNESCO World Heritage category for Living Singers With Once-In-A-Century Voices (is there? LOL), he'd be one of them. Hmm, I wonder if he literally pays insurance for his voice? (Teehee.)

  • i wouldn't be surprised if his mouth was insured. i have heard of models insuring their lkegs, ice cream tasters insuring their toungues, all kind of stuff like that
