@canthinkverywell As for who sings it, just check the Wikipedia article for Cryptomesia, Zach Hill is the second member of the band listed in the article. Now, Omar doesn't know how to sing, so I would say that second billing on the band list would put him as singer as well. As for him being a liberal - just do a google image search of the guy and you get plenty of artsy photos with his hats and eccentric clothing. No self-respecting Republican would be caught dead wearing such pretentious shit.

@Solgrim i didnt say he wasnt liberal, i said there's nothing wrong with being liberal. and there's DEFINITELY nothing wrong with being artsy, we need more artsy people these days. and he just doesn't sing it, neither does omar, although he has sung on other albums, its cedric bixler from the mars volta, zach hill drums in this album. there's even an interview where cedric discusses recording the vocals, and the last time i checked the interview was on the wikipedia page for this album.

(It killed me to ask him for help since he too is a liberal) - he informed me that Zach Hill does indeed sing this song, and even had Zach sing it acapella for him before heading on stage for a show. Every time I listen to this album I appreciate it more. I thought it was a bit all over the place and musical masturbation but that's because the pieces of the band work on a level that can go over one's head at first. I also think the album works as a whole on a level that has been missing from the past couple tmv albums. Zach is ridiculous, Juan rips it up and Omar is a freaking genious!

SO I loved the mars volta back in teh day, then I got really into Rob Crow and Pinback... Rob worked with Zach Hill in a few different bands (the ladies), so I got really into Zach, being a drummer myself. Now, to find this band at this stage in my music exploration is just beyond belief. I love how intermingling the music community is!

This project wasnt original supposed to even have Cedric in it, and Cedric isnt in El Grupo Nuevo de Omar Rodriguez Lopez. He guest appeared. and this is alot more agressive for Cedric that a TMV record because he holds himself back with TMV to write for the record more than himself.

the thing that sucks about john theodore is that he made the volta. after they lost him, it's just not the same. sure thomas pridgen is a great drummer, but john theodore was legendary.

actually blake flemming made the volta. He did a lot in the short time he was with them ,they used his beats and patterns long after he was fired. A lot of Deloused and Frances the Mute are all Flemming. They would lie to get Theodore to play certain parts because Jon did not like the fact that they were created by Flemming. Yes Theodore is an amazing drummer but between Flemmings contributions and Omar creating the rest of the drum fills Theodore did not create as much as people like to think.
