@MultiEnglish1- Description/Name is "RadioShack SAME Alert Weatheradio w/AM/FM Atomic Clock Radio".. The Model Number is 12-253.. I got it from RadioShack MANY MANY years ago. They don't sell them anymore on the main sites, I have since found another great weather radio that works just as fine. The new one I have is "Sangean CL-100 Weather Radio." It has received great reviews!

This is the best wx radio I have found/seen. One thing that is good is that it has a side view on it, which is good for putting on a high shelf or desk. It has Atomic clock on it (which sets the time on it's own), battery backup, Alarm, AM/FM radio (6 preset stations), and has S.A.M.E. (program it to alert for certain counties). To get your SAME code for your county, Google: "SAME code for county" and click the first result. If you want, I can find it.

Most are made now to view from above and made cheap. The closes one I have found is the "Midland WR-300." I have not tried it, but the features are somewhat similar.
