What I don't get, is why females/people mutilate THEMSELVES. Piercings of ears, tongues, nose, pipes, genitals, its stupid. The same goes for tatoos. They make no GD sense to me. Why do that to your body? And they think they are making it look... better????
@cobrachoppergirl Pretty much. But remember,some tribes do it as tradition. Tattoos and piercings have been around for thousands of years and have different meanings to different cultures.
i like these videos mostly. though, im not entirely sure whats the matte with the oppressing system. But things will change for sure. If nothing else, science will solve the problem.
No matter how many times I rack my brain over it, I just don't understand why society gets that female genital mutilation is... well mutilation, yet circumcision is just considered a routine medical procedure...

You and I and most guys over 30 were circumcised as a newborn without Anastasia! The medical quacks were under the impression that a newly formed nervous system couldn't feel pain or some bs like that. Then some bright boy hooked up some monitoring devices and saw the heart rate spike while the baby screamed in agony while he was circumcised. Nowadays thank goodness at least they numb the kid up before chopping off part of his genitals.
2. I disagree with your opinion that violence against women is the biggest problem. The real problem is violence against men and boys. Boys are brought up to violence and are rewarded and respected more if they can endure violence, and if the violence is inflicted within the social framework the best ones at inflicting violence are also the most highly respected. We're taught that our own feelings don't matter and when we believe that we also believe that no one else's feelings matter either.
@vention4wh And women are rewarded for being submissive and servants to men. It's two sides of the same coin. Still you're in a better position - though still a horrible one - if you're taught to be the perpetrator of violence than if you're the victim. The spirits of both genders are being bent and twisted, only women also lose their physical integrity more often in the process.
Actually the majority of violence between men and women is women inflicting violence on men. They seem to think it's ok for some weird reason. You see it all the time. In public it's more like a medium sized slap when the man dares to say something the woman doesn't like. But in private it escalates. One friend of mine had the crap slapped out of him by his wife (while she was holding his 2 year old daughter as a human shield). Disgusting.
2. It's actually pretty rare for a woman to be submissive these days. They know for a fact that all she has to do is make a false sexual misconduct accusation and the police will drag the man off to jail. Then she can file a "fear for her life" complaint and the courts will issue a no contact order, kick him out of the home and nail him with crippling child support payments, with the "imputed income" kicker. That clearly puts women into the more powerful role in a relationship and the know it.
3. This terrible imbalance of power has made the idea of marriage intolerable to me (and a hefty percentage of single men in the entire western world). I won't put myself into a position of servitude to ANYONE! It's too bad really because I would have made a great husband.
Oh well, it's not a total loss. Single life has allowed me to save money, live frugally, pay off all my debts including my home, and now after all my monthly spending is done, I still have about 2600 left over.
@vention4wh Well my mother is staying married to her abusive husband because she's afraid he'd rather kill her than let her go, as happens to unlucky women all over the world. This is what has made the idea of marriage intolerable to *me*. I don't want to end up with a husband who I thought was a nice man but who turns out to be a possessive violent asshole after some years of marriage. This is true servitude.
@vention4wh Also, what you're saying about sexual misconduct is an idealized version of how the justice system works. Only 5% of men who are conducted of rape (which is the most serious form of sexual misconduct, so you can imagine what happens with the rest) actually spend any time in jail. A restricting order can be violated (if you're not wearing an electronic gyve) and is way less serious than having to fear for your life because you have a stalker or something similar.
@vention4wh And thirdly, the reason why society is more accepting of this slapping of men by women is because it is accepted as "self-evident" that men are stronger than women and thus a woman can never pose a real threat to a man and if he wanted to, he could stop her from hitting him at any time. I know that this is not right and that there are men who are abused by their girlfriends or wives but the reason why this can continue is because of the routine victimization of women itself.
Society may be more accepting of violent abuse by women against men but it's still disgusting and wrong. And since women know that the man can't return their violence without jail time, it's also an act of extreme cowardice. Still, they do it. And when the man has finally had enough and has the bruises and cuts to prove it, calls the police to file a complaint, expecting help. What happens? The police arrest him and toss him in jail.
@vention4wh I never denied it's disgusting and wrong but violence in our society is, when it discriminates by gender, overwhelmingly done by men to women. most of the "family tragedies" are commited by men, almost all the rape, most of the domestic violence, most of the "everyday" sexual harrassment. Of course sometimes women lie about these things and sometimes women are violent towards men - but most of the time it's the other way round. Just more proof that patriarchy hurts everyone.
The vast majority of violence between men and women is inflicted by women upon men. Of course it only gets into the news when the man has finally had all he can take, & knowing the authorities won't help him, he returns the violence. It often takes a couple years of abuse to push a man that far though. So you get two years of violent abuse, then the man is backed into a corner and fights back. When that happens the woman loses.
I'll never take that abuse. If anyone hits me, I hit back
Of course there a crazy people who will abuse others and do all that crazy stalking stuff but they are pretty rare. And the family tragedies where the man kills the woman are also very rare but they happen. Far more often though, the man simply kills himself. Even during a divorce it's still vastly more common for the man to suicide than he is to resort to murder. However since society doesn't value men, it rarely gets into the news when a man kills himself. No one cares if we die.
@vention4wh Why would something that completely contradicts the "official" gender norms we are confronted with every day be so common? Women are taught from childhood to be friendly, docile and unthreatening, men are taught to be the strong, unemotional "hunters and fighters" - and then there's this secret terrorising of men everywhere? How would our socialisation even allow this? Is this culture just make-believe and a cover-up for a huge female conspiracy against men?
No, it's not a huge conspiracy against men. The problem is that our entire society is geared toward protecting women at the expense of men. If a male air traffic controller makes a mistake that causes a crash, he'll be fired or jailed. If a woman makes the same mistake, She'll get grief counseling, time off work and she'll get her job back when her grieving period is over. It happens all the time.
The men who hold power have a natural desire to protect women, but it's gone too far.
@vention4wh And how can this society "not value men" if men get more money for doing the same job as a woman and occupy nearly all the important jobs and offices? Nearly the whole entertainment industry caters to the male gaze and women are constantly encouraged to make "being pleasing to men" their main goal in life. Most major languages in the world today have the "generic masculine", the list goes on and on - and still you claim society doesn't care about men? What more do you want?!
I disagree with your opinion that men make more money than women for doing the same work. We tend to make more money because we do all the most dirty, back breaking, dangerous jobs there are. If there is a job that involves great danger or being outside in bad weather, the job will be mostly staffed by men. If the job is inside and comfortable, safe and involves perhaps typing or working with people, with pleasant music playing, it will be mostly staffed by women.
If a man and a woman are doing the same job within a company and have the same number of years on the job, they'll make the same money. If the woman even suspects she might get a penny less, she'll sue and the company will be forced to pay her a half million or so. So companies are paranoid about such things and make very certain that women make just as much or more for the same job.
Yes there are many jobs that pay well, including mine. But they tend to be dangerous or they require a lot of physical strength. In my career as a heavy diesel truck mechanic, we do get a woman every once in a while who tries to be a mechanic. The problem is that the things you are supposed to lift and work with are too heavy for nearly all women. They make the good money for a while but then they get hurt way more often and end up moving up into management or into another job.
And although I got rid of my TV about 3 years ago, I still remember how advertising was so heavily targeted toward women. Women control the majority of spending decisions in the household so they are heavily catered to by the entertainment industry. They pick attractive actors as well as actresses and they cater to every market they can reach. I doubt they target men more but that's just my opinion. I don't have any stats to point to on this one though.
@vention4wh What you're saying about jobs is just not true. You can look up the statistics everywhere. A woman gets about 70c for doing the exact same job for which a man gets 1$ (or €, it's about the same). Also, men make up about 95% of high-ranking managers and CEOs. I don't have any exact statistics on politics but it's similar, maybe 70:30. 1 in 14 professors is female. I hope you have some statistics to back up your claims, otherwise our discussion is starting to get pointless.
I don't know where you're getting your stats but they're wrong. In 1963 the equal pay act was signed into law. Any woman making less than a man who's doing the same job can sue and win in court. It's the law. Whoever told you differently is lying to you. You may have picked up your opinions in an institution of higher learning but I have to caution you, the most radical of feminist ideas have a stranglehold on such institutions. They have a loud voice but that doesn't make them right
@vention4wh Because it's illegal, it doesn't exist..? You can enter "gender wage gap" into any search engine and you'll find as many studies and statistics as you want proving what I wrote. If of course you want to attribute any studies you don't like to the "stranglehold of radical feminism" (of which I strangely don't notice anything), then we operate in different discourses and will never come to an agreement.
Point me to a study that says men earn more for the same job (other than elite business executives of the top .01% of the wage scale). I'm concerned with the general population.
Yes men earn more because they work in different more difficult and dangerous jobs. When was the last time you saw a woman working on high tension power lines during a thunder storm? The answer is never.
Because its illegal to pay women lower wages for the same job, it doesn't happen often, due to law suits.
@vention4wh No, I've already done that. I've also pointed out already that men are raised to be the ones to do the dangerous stuff because they're raised to be the strong ones, while women are raised to be the weak ones. I think your understanding of contemporary society could benefit greatly from some feminist theory because it would show you how men's and women's oppression are intertwined, but I'm not going to mouth-feed you via YT comments. There are tons of books on the subject.
I agree that both men and women are oppressed. Our whole society is. The elite have done an excellent job of dividing us all into little camps who are at war with each other. That's what keeps us from uniting and taking our world back. With us all so divided they can enslave us all with debt, inflation and taxes, weakening us to the point where we can no longer resist. We could be headed for a very dark time indeed.
@vention4wh And where do you get this theory from that our society is geared towards protecting women at the expense of men? I'm sorry, but you're avoiding all my facts and arguments and just keep repeating your statement that society is controlled by women. Every time I point out a recurring tendency in our society, you answer by saying "but it also happens the other way round", as if that disproves what I say.
I didn't say that society is controlled by women. I said it was geared toward protecting women. In any situation where a person can get in trouble, the penalty is lower for women. If a woman is convicted of a crime she'll nearly always get a shorter prison sentence than a man will.
For example in a 2001 study by David Mustard, female bank robbers get an average of 21 months less prison time than men do. Why is that? The study shows that women receive smaller sentences for every crime
@vention4wh Yeah, because, as I said, our society sees violence as a male thing. Women are seen as less threatening, thus their crimes appear less significant, thus they get lower sentences.
Yes, society does see violence as a male thing & is blind to female violence.
Smaller penalties for the same crime are just an example of how badly men are treated by society as a general rule. The whole society is geared toward protecting women at the expense of men and its wrong
The unfair treatment has caused a huge percentage of men to simply stop associating with women, the marriage rate falls, children become rare and the population declines. That's part of the feminist agenda.
And if you dig a little deeper you'll find interviews and documentation that indicate the CIA (believe it or not) and the ultra rich elite of the Rockefeller foundation provided a lot of financial backing to the most radical and destructive members of the feminist movement, and steered our whole society in a really scary direction. Feminism and all their patriarchy paranoia is largely a fabrication that was funded by the wealthiest family in the world. Do a little digging and see.
If you're still in collage though, don't bring any of this up in class. If you do you'll probably fail the class and it will hurt your future. Just keep in mind that not everything you learn in collage is correct but in order to pass you'll need to pretend to agree with it, but then check their "facts" for yourself.
@vention4wh Well if the decline of the population is part of the feminist agenda, everyone should support it because the current population level is highly unsustainable... as for the rest, I don't see this discussion heading anywhere. For me as a woman the effects of patriarchy are not some distant theory that might or might not be true but something I have to deal with every day, so these conspiracy theories are just ridiculous to me. And don't patronize me just because I'm younger than you.
The world is a much bigger place than you believe. Some things that I would have laughed at as conspiracy theory, I've seen enough evidence to believe them. I was once like you though. I was a total left wing type. I believed all of Al Gore's pseudo science and I believed much of the feminist myth. Then as time went on I picked up more information. You will too. Be careful about taking a personal stance on a point of view. If you do you'll feel attacked when someone disagrees.
@vention4wh You're patronizing me again, without even knowing me. Taking personal stances is serving me very well, in fact I enjoy combative discussions. What I don't enjoy is arrogant people who think they can lecture me on what life is like. I'm ending this discussion now, I think everything has been said.
LOL! Ya, I actually was patronizing you a bit with that last comment. It's true though. And I wish you good luck in the future. I kind of enjoyed our little discussion.
this is true, if women are happier, humanity wud b happier...men wud have to give up privileges. women wud need to adapt their behavior. and everyone more optimistic!

Genital mutilation is just part of the entire system contrived to enforce social controls for the building of controllable societies. By now we should have grown beyond this need to suppress people to enforce a society. All sorts of problems of the psyche are related to and caused by suppression of the individual as a sacrifice to a controlled society.
As far as i know, the genital mutilation of young women is not directed in the Quran at all, it is a barbaric ritual that has taken many areas of this world.
@telewebservices That is true. Mohammed was recorded as being asked the question of the validity of FGM. His reply was along the lines of, do it if you want to, but don't cause so much damage that it interferes with the pleasure of the future husband.
Islam states that it is the male that has to go to work and provide for the women he marries and the children. If there are women without husbands and a male has the financial ability to support a maximum of 4 wives, then he is permitted to do so.
What I don't get, is why females/people mutilate THEMSELVES. Piercings of ears, tongues, nose, pipes, genitals, its stupid. The same goes for tatoos. They make no GD sense to me. Why do that to your body? And they think they are making it look... better????

A woman gets about 70c for doing the exact same job for which a man gets 1$ (or €, it's about the same). Also, men make up about 95% of high-ranking managers and CEOs. I don't have any exact statistics on politics but it's similar, maybe 70:30. 1 in 14 professors is female. I hope you have some statistics to back up your claims, otherwise our discussion is starting to get pointless.
DoJaenin 1 year ago
@DoJaenin
They have a loud voice but that doesn't make them right
vention4wh 1 year ago
@vention4wh Because it's illegal, it doesn't exist..? You can enter "gender wage gap" into any search engine and you'll find as many studies and statistics as you want proving what I wrote. If of course you want to attribute any studies you don't like to the "stranglehold of radical feminism" (of which I strangely don't notice anything), then we operate in different discourses and will never come to an agreement.

@DoJaenin
Because its illegal to pay women lower wages for the same job, it doesn't happen often, due to law suits.
vention4wh 1 year ago
@vention4wh No, I've already done that. I've also pointed out already that men are raised to be the ones to do the dangerous stuff because they're raised to be the strong ones, while women are raised to be the weak ones. I think your understanding of contemporary society could benefit greatly from some feminist theory because it would show you how men's and women's oppression are intertwined, but I'm not going to mouth-feed you via YT comments. There are tons of books on the subject.

@DoJaenin

DoJaenin 1 year ago
@DoJaenin
The study shows that women receive smaller sentences for every crime
vention4wh 1 year ago
@vention4wh Yeah, because, as I said, our society sees violence as a male thing. Women are seen as less threatening, thus their crimes appear less significant, thus they get lower sentences.
DoJaenin 1 year ago
@DoJaenin
That's part of the feminist agenda.
vention4wh 1 year ago
@DoJaenin

Good luck!
vention4wh 1 year ago
@vention4wh Well if the decline of the population is part of the feminist agenda, everyone should support it because the current population level is highly unsustainable... as for the rest, I don't see this discussion heading anywhere. For me as a woman the effects of patriarchy are not some distant theory that might or might not be true but something I have to deal with every day, so these conspiracy theories are just ridiculous to me. And don't patronize me just because I'm younger than you.
DoJaenin 1 year ago
@DoJaenin
If you do you'll feel attacked when someone disagrees.
vention4wh 1 year ago
@vention4wh You're patronizing me again, without even knowing me. Taking personal stances is serving me very well, in fact I enjoy combative discussions. What I don't enjoy is arrogant people who think they can lecture me on what life is like. I'm ending this discussion now, I think everything has been said.
DoJaenin 1 year ago
@DoJaenin
LOL! Ya, I actually was patronizing you a bit with that last comment. It's true though. And I wish you good luck in the future. I kind of enjoyed our little discussion.

Genital mutilation is just part of the entire system contrived to enforce social controls for the building of controllable societies. By now we should have grown beyond this need to suppress people to enforce a society. All sorts of problems of the psyche are related to and caused by suppression of the individual as a sacrifice to a controlled society.
klard 1 year ago
As far as i know, the genital mutilation of young women is not directed in the Quran at all, it is a barbaric ritual that has taken many areas of this world.
telewebservices 1 year ago 7
@telewebservices That is true. Mohammed was recorded as being asked the question of the validity of FGM. His reply was along the lines of, do it if you want to, but don't cause so much damage that it interferes with the pleasure of the future husband.

Islam states that it is the male that has to go to work and provide for the women he marries and the children. If there are women without husbands and a male has the financial ability to support a maximum of 4 wives, then he is permitted to do so.
