  • i was eating my pizza it was perfect but then came the fire grrrrrrrr i loved my pizza :,(

  • @grodybottlestein thats the alarm of the ocean city trains on the boardwalk

  • the reason they take pictures of the crowd is in cases of arson the arsonist almost always stays to watch their work

  • this is what people make videos of in OC? go to seacrets and get a beer and a life.

  • Is there any part of this vid where you will hear he fire alarms go off in Marty's?

  • Will not blow up

  • The truck will

  • i wuz just there 2 dayz ago

  • lmao... trust me, the truck aint gonna "blow up" they are designed not to

  • Its rebuilt. Ate there yesterday.

  • that one guy is dumb as shit, a fire truck is not going to blow!!!!, its a FIRE truck, its ment to be by a big fire, your DUMB AS SHIT!!!!!

  • @bestpaintballer9 lol your right, and the fact that the truck has huge water tanks in it...

  • that guy was an idiot, fire trucks have paint made to take up to 2k degrees heat, and the important parts are shielded. thats why their called fire trucks, not bomb trucks.

  • Hahaha i would love to meet that fool

  • haha thats not true at all, these are fire trucks not space shuttles. They re paints have a retardant mixed into the base, but they are not impervious to fire damage. Granted i doubt they're going to blow up, but with such close proximity, in this instance, they could get damaged.

  • i worked here for a few months...nobody knows how to make good pizza dough down on the boardwalk.they put lard in the dough....cheap.go to new york city if you want a good pizza.go to staten island.....brothers pizza....best pizza in the whole world.

  • So whoever the guy was yelling that the truck was gonna blow up....great job on dropping the f bomb around all the little kids. Not to mention THAT TRUCK IS NOT GONNA BLOW UP....SOMEONE HAS WATCHED A LITTLE TO MUCH TV!!!

  • I answered my own question. We went to OC this past week, and we saw the huge open area, which explains where it was at :P

Tis a real shame though. We ate breakfast at the one on 41st street on wednesday.

  • Im in ocean city right now. They are barely working on anything. I got a video of it be sure to view it later when i post it.

  • Thats why when I went it was just a hole.

  • i no what started teh fire it was a deep frie!

  • negative...it was arson. They just caught one of the arsonests.

  • Wow! That definatly flashed over. And the positioning of tower 5 was ok. I think they should have had the stick up a lot sooner though to at least try to knock it at the roof. And also probably have an engine on that side with the tower. Other then that i think OCVFC and other units did what they could with the conditions they had to work with.

  • Gosh..I loved that place and I remember when this happened. It didn't start in Dough Roller, it started in the T-shirt shop. Now it's just weird to go to Ocean City, knowing my favorite place to get food and favorite place to hang out is gone.

  • for the record ppl this was started at the clothing store next to the dough roller and it spread....ppl have tried lighting the clothing store on file multiple times before too....i have friends who were in the oc fire dept and i know people from FITH Photography who told me about it.

  • omg i was there not at thew place but down the boardwalk and i just find this out now omg and i went there that night and i never noticed wow i must be kinda stupid

  • i saw this on abc7 news

  • o.o i ate ther before!

  • Wow, it's just odd to me how many really huge fires start at pizza joints. I've witnessed two very bad fires, one of them claiming a victim who lived in an apartment upstairs, in the little town I live in. The most recent one was about ten years ago and you could see the smoke miles away billowing out onto the lake as firefighters battled the blaze. In both instances it was the large ovens used to cook the pizzas in that caught on fire.

  • DAMMIT i loved that place

  • lol..the trucks are goin to blow up

  • i love ocean city

  • I agree the first appliance positioning was 'possibly' ill-advised (neither I or most commenting are not privy to the conditions)but if it HAD to be there I am surprised a jet wasn't laid and charged earlier to cover it, given the structure of the building. However, credit where it's due, it was a very fast knock-down after the flashover. Yes I was a UK fire officer for 25 years and I do know timber structures, with all their attendant fire spread capabilities are a swine to deal with.

  • your fire terminology is alot different in the uk man.

  • My cousin owned that restaurant. I was gonna go down and work for the summer. Guess i won't ever get the change now.....

  • Maybe you can work at one of the other three?? Hmmmmmmm...

  • OH NO!

    Maryland :(

  • excellent footage of it flashing over. Wouldn't be surprised to see this footage used in classes.

  • Where is that on the boardwalk? Like, how far from burgerking? Lol. That's how I will remember :P

  • I'm going to OC this summer, went 2 years ago, loved it :P

The truck is close to the fire, but they really probably didn't have no choice. Narrow boardwalk, fat truck, haha. No other place for it to be.

  • woohoo maryland greetings from

    linthicum,maryland

  • first off the truck was originally in the correct place. the boardwalk is narrow and the truck is wide, there was no fire showing from Alpha side so it seemed safe. granted they should have taken into consideration if it flashed (which it did) but its fine. there was no damage done to the truck and they paint would not melt off of it unless u stick it in a 2000 degree oven.

  • but very good footage

  • Wow that truck is parked way to close wonder if they melted any paint off..........

  • I'm still trying to figure out what the 2 guys in the bucket were waiting for. Shouldn't someone have gotten a line on the fire. Looks like it could have been contained alot sooner.

  • When the Flames start to emerge from the front window and roof of t-shirt shop looks almost as if it was a backdraft cause it seemed pretty pretty tame...if thats the case you guys need to be more careful...and for everyone that said the truck was gonna blow...its a FIREtruck lol they can handle it ima firefighter here in my town

  • I Love the commentary. Great fotage Tateer

  • i am a firefighter and that fire was a bitch to put out!!

  • i love ocean city we go there every summer

  • I'm a cook at the dough roller and it didnt start in the kitchen...i'm a cook and the media is bullshit. we gotr evacuated from the kitchen by the police because the building above us to the right was on fire...the dough roller didnt start shit...

  • I agree, I was in the arcade, and when I got outside it was between the T-shirt shop and Martys where smoke and flames were coming from.

  • @JoshIrishND hell ya!!

  • Ah, man. Poor Dough Roller. =(

  • I was there, it was quite a fire, I think it started in the dough roller kitchen

  • 3:55... Is that the sound of the fire alarm at Marty's Playland?

  • That is actually the tram being rerouted behind us blowing there horn. There was no alarms inside the restaurant, surf shop, or Martys arcade at all to my knowledge. My wife, daughter and I were in Martys when they annouced to get out quick there is a fire on the roof. And never once could you hear an alarm.

  • isn't it like a fire marshall law thing that you have to have fire alarms in places like playland or the dough roller?

  • Unfortunately, no it's not a law. I work with a fire inspector and fire engineer. Most buildings are "sprinkler monitored." Which means what it says, having a layout of sprinklers throughout the building and they serve as heat detectors. Once the temperature reaches 170 degrees they all pop. Most restaurants and entertainment occupants are sprinkler monitored. Not to accuse Dough Roller or Playland of negligence, but most owners never get their fire systems inspected on a yearly basis.

  • The dough roller building was built in the early 1900's and was not a sprinkled building ,but playland was and thats what held most of the fire on the north side .And the OCFMO does a fantastic job on inspections and investigations
