@thomasimon thank you. i didn't put the hoover and vacuum cleaner thing together. there are some terms that i've never heard of. like once i overheard a british lady saying she's gonna step out side to smoke a fag and i was so stunned couldn't even blink. i thought she said she was gonna set a gay man on fire or shoot him, but later i found out she simply meant to say smoke a cigarette. That cracked me up for at least 5 minutes
