I don't know why. It takes you off his back 50% of the time you post. What's bad for the back is improper positioning of the rider, sort of posting out of rhythmn ( as we are doing now) or as the Greeks used to say:"post hoc, ergo proper hoc". I think I misspelled "prosper".
no actuall when you come out of the saddle you are putting all you weight in your stirrups which it puts all your weight in one spot on their back rathers you sitting in the saddle and you are spreading your weight throughout the saddle where i ride if you post you get in MAJOR trouble
