@fgs9 I have a boa(1 year old) and shes very loving towards me but if i touch her near the head she doesn't like it..How do I get her use to letting me hold her head and touch it?

Snakes are instinctively head shy. If you do things to a snake that it doesn't like, they will feel threathened. A snake that feels threatened cannot be trusted. I was going to answer your original question by saying don't do what they don't like, that includes touching their heads.

In time your snake will probably be more tolerant about having its head touched.
