when my da kicked it back in 1986 ... i remember listening to this song and screaming (in my car) 'you're crashing by design' ... 'it all happens by design ...' cause he was a wanka how loved the women, booze, and smoke too much ... and that life style that he chose (that he designed) .. cause him to crash out early (55 is too young for a man with 10 kids ...)

tonight a friend was asking me to set up a Pandora list for him. I had never done it, didn't know what that meant. I said "John Martyn",b/c i just learned he'd never heard JM.

But he wanted another artist as a seed for the list,Nick Drake was too obvious& Pandora had already suggested him. Then I thought of Pete. It was a great reminder of how much I love PT's solo work. He's so 'f- in' great! Love 'em. "Crashing By Design" was the first Pete song that came up .
