I really prefer GH:WT as the drums have a better design (it actually has cymbals which the rock band drums fail to have) and when you hit the left cymbal, you can still get that hi-hat feel when you hit it. Also in GH:WT, not only can you make your own songs, you can download songs uploaded by other people on GHTunes for FREE that you can download in less than 10 seconds each. The drums also have a midi output and i believe you can use electronic drums with a midi output with game (USB-MIDI).
well i mean if you struggle using four pads on drums then okay... maybe rock band is for you (a drum kit without cymbals shouldn't even be called a drum kit)... as for making songs without vocals, so what? at least you can still do something creative in the game making your own songs and showing them off and download others' or them covering other songs (downloads unlimited for free)

gh wt is better last time i never saw some 1 play the mario song on rb2 and you can create ur own song rb2 is easy it does not have songs like ttfatf and scream aim fire those are hard songs to complete
i'm just pointing out that rb2 has loads of difficult songs. Visions, Panic Attack, Afterlife are good examples. I would definatley recommend buying the rb drums, guitar hero guitar and which ever mic you fell like, and then buy rb2.

No offence to this vid but how can anybody say the World Tour instruments are better than RB2's or even RB1's! The World Tour drums break after 100 songs 95% of the time and the Guitar looks shit and the slider is completely useless on the harder songs! There arn't any real score benifits between instruments in WT. In RB there's Solo for drums and guitar, but since drum solos are rare, they still get credit for each individual hit, usually increasing the combo faster than the others. The bass gets 6X multiplier and the vocals get thos percussion notes.
Stranger is the fact that the guitar is the dullest to play, as they get no fills, freestyles, or open notes. The slider isn't exclusive to the guitar either, since it's in a few bass lines. The drums don't give 3 credits for hitting a hi hat, snare, and bass pedal at the same time like RB. They treat it like a chord and only give it one credit. The freestyle and drum fill sections are really pointless, too. I do give some sympathy for the open strum for the bass; it makes it more interesting.

For both I now currently own both. I have 100% Almost every Rock Band 2 song on Guitar and Drums. Vocals haven't really played. Guitar Hero I have Almost done the exact same. I'm still going to stick with what I said about the two games. Rock Band is better.
RB2: -Drums, more quite and more stable and more sensitive, bass pedal more durable and long lasting. -Guitar, Frets are loud, strumming soft but good for Expert playing. -Singing, very good to understand and to follow. -Graphics, not as good as World Tour but why pay attention to those when your rocking out? -Set list, amazing. 80+ new songs and longer set list, and still can play the 500+ new songs from Rock Band and don't have to repurchase.
GH:WT- -Drums, very bad bass pedal very flimsy. also cymbals and drums do not active 30% of the time. -Guitar, eh okay. The fret board is good. The Touch pad is a bit horrible to place your fingers and is not good at all for strumming. -Singing, hard to understand and keep same vocal strength. -Graphics, Pretty Good not AMAZING but good. -Set list, pretty good for the old songs not to many new generation songs. -Overall, 3.5\5
ok honest opinion (all true too) : lets start wit RB2: beats are simultanious(drums),better calibration(drums), fretts are louder vut strumming is very quiet, singing is easier to understand, footpedal is strong enough to last a long time. Graphics gr8 but not able to do as much changes on characters. I like the Xplorer better. I don't care if it's wired, the frets feel better, the strum bars are the same, and the whammy is pretty much the same on both. Overall I think the Xplorer wins.

The only reason they didn't "innovate" was because they already had an amazing game, and they didn't want to ruin it. Let's put it this way. Which game got rated higher by IGN? Gamespot? VGchartz? Gametrailers? Which game was the music game of the year? Rock Band 2. GHWT fans need to realize that no matter how many features Neversoft puts in, Rock Band still wins. Quality > Quantity. Song creator sucks, touch slider sucks, drumset sucks, setlist is better on Rock Band, Rock Band has better graphics, and the world tour mode on Rock Band is infinitely better.

It doesn't matter how many people like GHWT over RB2, it matters which one is genuinely better. Which one was rated higher? RB2. Saying "balls" and "sux" in every sentence you say is NOT helping you get your retarded point across. The drumsets may only have four pads, but atleast the majority of the drumsets sold didnt break or have broken pads like the GHWT sets! As for setlist, are you retarded? You can have up to 500 SONGS! You have no fucking clue what you're talking. RB2 is the winner.

no lie tho....rock band n ghwt have certain advantages towards each other....i like Guitar Hero...i played chop suey on rb2 n got 89 percent.....i download chop suey for world tour n i got 66% idk why but i can play better rb2 then ghwt...maybe bcuz ghwt is better/harder

I play Expert in
-Vocals
-Guitar
-Drums.
For both I now currently own both. I have 100% Almost every Rock Band 2 song on Guitar and Drums. Vocals haven't really played. Guitar Hero I have Almost done the exact same. I'm still going to stick with what I said about the two games. Rock Band is better.

RB2: -Drums, more quite and more stable and more sensitive, bass pedal more durable and long lasting. -Guitar, Frets are loud, strumming soft but good for Expert playing. -Singing, very good to understand and to follow. -Graphics, not as good as World Tour but why pay attention to those when your rocking out? -Set list, amazing. 80+ new songs and longer set list, and still can play the 500+ new songs from Rock Band and don't have to repurchase.
Overall- 5\5
Rock Band Wins in my book.

Played both at my cuz'.
GH:WT- -Drums, very bad bass pedal very flimsy. also cymbals and drums do not active 30% of the time. -Guitar, eh okay. The fret board is good. The Touch pad is a bit horrible to place your fingers and is not good at all for strumming. -Singing, hard to understand and keep same vocal strength. -Graphics, Pretty Good not AMAZING but good. -Set list, pretty good for the old songs not to many new generation songs. -Overall, 3.5\5

ok honest opinion (all true too) : lets start wit RB2: beats are simultanious(drums),better calibration(drums), fretts are louder vut strumming is very quiet, singing is easier to understand, footpedal is strong enough to last a long time. Graphics gr8 but not able to do as much changes on characters. Now GHWT: s mart with the cymbols, calibration is terrible(drums) (for meh), foot pedal is a lil flimsy which i cannot trust one bit,guitar is kool wit touch pad,but it make noise wen strumming

I have to say Rock Band 2 definitely beat WT. I own both of them, all the instruments for both. RB2 has better of the following: Gameplay, Graphics, SETLIST! Thats not all I just can't think of shit right now lmao. GH had a good run. But they didn't do to good for their first time with all the instruments.

I like the Xplorer better. I don't care if it's wired, the frets feel better, the strum bars are the same, and the whammy is pretty much the same on both. Overall I think the Xplorer wins.

GHWT is so broken. Rock Band 2 has near to no flaws. If you fail on RB2, it is because you suck.
If you fail on WT, it is because of the Horrid Timing Window.
Although the Create A song Feature is a good Feature, lets be honest here. Every good song I heard from it sounds like a Ringtone.

Because RB was so successful, they didn't need to innovate because there wasn't a lot of things wrong, therefore needing no fixing. If you weren't aware of it, my comment was a metaphore.
An example would be how Activition wanted to change an otherwise great series just for innovation's sake, and what we got was a flameing pile of ass! (A.K.A. Guitar Hero 3)

The only reason they didn't "innovate" was because they already had an amazing game, and they didn't want to ruin it. GHWT on the other hand, has a horrible timing window, a terrible song creator, mediocre graphics, average songs, flimsy bass pedal, boring tour mode, and bad strum bar (although I admit the RB guitar is worse).

guitar hero didnt copy cus rock band copied first. and plus guitar heros drums have symbels wich is so much better. the notes on rock band are hard to hit and its hard to tell if its a hammeron or pull off. guitar hero is definetly better

i think guitar hero world tour is better because they have some of the actually people from the real band on there that moves like their real selves you can create your own music upload and download other ppl stuff plus it has way better songs rock band suck balls along with anyone else who plays it

you have no backing to your statement, explain how, sence rock band 2 has cymbals on all of its drum sets if you willing to buy them, dlc everyweek, dynamic career, good songs on disk, import song from rock band 1, all dlc is cross compatable, 20 free dlc for buying the game , realistic graphics. come on man its time to give it up , or at least get some backing to you your statements, I mean whats gh have, a song studio that ive seen only 1 or 2 good songs come out of.
