@Orlhajoetoe Melee is a real fighting game, its just nontraditional,in my opinion that makes it more complex/complicated you get more than just straight up combos and creating combos takes more work (due to percent). People who play "real" fighting games would get wrecked in melee.

rofl, no. All I ever see in Melee is a bunch of horrid players throwing out random shffls and wavedashing into shit. People that play other fighting games rather than Melee are waaaaay more observant and actually read their opponents. In a game like Super Turbo, it's just the bare basics, so you have no choice but to constantly read your opponent and be sure to capitalize on EVERYTHING and not fuck up. In Melee, there's HUGE room for error all the time.

There isn't a huge room for error. That's why you constantly get 4-stocked by people who appear (to you) to be throwing out random wavedashes and SHFFLs.

@Orlhajoetoe lol, you think there is no prediction/reading in this game? Melee is very strategic, and due to percent combos are not set like in a traditional fighter. In a traditional fighter you usually only need to know one or two combos and they will always work where as in melee combos differ against every character and you have to develop different ones at higher percent. There are also more factors to melee due to teching and off stage/edgegaurding. [continued]

@TheAesirGod you also can't just say "oh melee players would get wrecked at other fighting games" well yes, how do you expect them to be good at a game they don't play. same reason somebody who plays traditional fighter wouldn't be as good at melee. The styles of play are completely different. If you don't want to play the game then just don't play it, but I don't think anybody here really gives to much of shit about your opinion, people will still play regardless.

I respect the ability of ST players for their spacing and map control ability but melee, to be competitive in high levels of play you need to implement shffls, and wavedashing into your spacing and approach game and combos are a reward for correct spacing and punishing

basically ST is just like ssbm. St has more emphisis on spacing
